"Sure they are. Check your account hub for the section called "Linked Accounts." Mine clearly shows my direct-purchase, PTS, Steam Account, Twitch, and Gamertag."
That shows what your one account is linked to. My account for example is linked to Twitch for when I was getting drops. It doesn't link two game accounts.

If identical names is an issue I would gladly change all my characters' names to do this.

Follow the thread. My comment is directly in response to the claim that account names would be too difficult to cross-reference during a transfer. In fact, they can already tell which console accounts should link with which PC accounts, just like they can tell which Twitch/etc accounts can link to both console AND PC accounts. It's a non-issue people use to pretend that ZoS can't possibly figure out a way around an insurmountable waist-high fence in their programming.

Specifically console players are identified by their network game tags. “Hanokis” PS4 is distinct from “Hanokis” XBOX. Now imagine merging. Who gets to keep their ID? It’s not “tough, outta luck” for one player as that isn’t fair. The same applies to individual character names which I’m sure overlap between the consoles AND the regions. There's no reason beyond "follow the money" and "we can't be bothered" that they can't transfer mounts, crown purchases, unlocked dye stamps, and collected inventory/bank items (housing or otherwise).trackdemon5512 wrote: »Then also consider what is involved in the transfer. The PC to Console transfer happened when the game was much simpler. Consider the various mounts, skill lines either progressed or purchased, crown store items, housing and the placement of items within. Then don't copy decorated houses, or set up the expectation that pre-decorated homes are included. Just unlock the stock house on the map for the account as purchased/owned and let everyone include that in their do-over along with character designs/skills. But the important thing is to give us the items, so hey, what better time than to give the separate inventory for it that everyone who cares about housing has been asking for since... forever?trackdemon5512 wrote: »Housing is a huge issue. You can’t just dump all the items into a players inventory, there isn’t the space or functionality. Then you would get players angry about their homes which they put days or weeks of work into being ruined. And most players have many homes. They have free ones and the ones purchased. Several notables with inventories possibly maxed in all of them. They can just have us pay for it. They get their money, we get to swap regardless of whether or not we stick with it.trackdemon5512 wrote: »Transferring all of that data flawlessly without an error that could wipe an account on servers you in the forums constantly decry for not being able to handle just Cyrodiil PVP seems like you’re asking for trouble.
And what’s the reward? The vocal players here who ask get their wish for a ton of developer work and then QUIT the game because the next patch isn’t to their liking. Yeah it’s ridiculous to ask got account transfers now.
