I see the hate machine is up and running...how drole.
Yes, always sad to see so much hate. Some people simply cannot evaluate something objectively. They don't like something because it's not what they want and then it automatically sucks and everyone else shouldn't like it either. And they have to communicate their dislike to everyone with the strongest of words. If someone doesn't like something, fine, but then there is no need to envy the other for the fun and try to shade a bad light on everything. That certainly doesn't apply to the majority, but you see it every day.
I should also add that the new oblivion portal mechanic is going to be HIGHLY controversial.
They are hard to find, so it will cut down on the amount of players doing them.
They are long and the reward is not that great, also lowering player involvement.
And they may be overturned to the general player base. If you can solo the more difficult public dungeons with their bosses, great. If not, you will not get very far.
The only reason I got this chapter was because it heavily features Argonian Lore. That's it - Companions are nice little bonus that will be fixed and expanded upon over time but if this year was about only Imperials then I would not have bought it.
I would like Questing more if the gameplay supported the story & questing, and was also more generally engaging in the leveling process.
The game has good writing but the main story boss fights are just terrible and killed my interest in the story. I am tired of the Main Story spending over 10 hours building up the stakes & hyping up the main villain to be the greatest threat to Tamriel, perhaps even Nirn - only for the boss fight to be Extremely Anti-Climatic & Mediocre. Really kills the narrative for me.
It doesn't have to be as hard as a Vet HM Trial or the hardest dungeon - but it doesn't need to ONLY be designed for complete Novices. There is clearly a middle ground between Veteran and Beginner that ZOS should look into.

Was not really excited, as Oblivion was what I liked less in Tes4, preferred Nirn.
But ok, a new region, and Argonians, at least something new after skyrim.
Meanwhile this "it's ok" feeling turned into heavy disappointment:
- CP skills nerfed by 50%
- Proc sets like Mad Tinkerer and all Monstersets becoming useless for magicka players
- companions more a burden than a usefull addon according to PTS feedback
In addition it was announced, that we will get focus on fixes and improvements instead of rushed new content.
But on xbox and PS4 we must live for 6 weeks with a dysfunctional inventory, after weeks with an extremely slow inventory. I feel cheated.
