I want it too for companions and the story. I feel like there are very few players who actually care about the story in MMOs.

Two. Meanwhile I'm really looking forward as well. TES IV Oblivion was also my all time favorite and I don't mind a little nostalgia.

There are a lot actually but after years of pop corn you don't really expect a good one and focus on other aspects of the game instead.

I look forward to all of the chapters and zone DLCs. I also buy all of the dungeon DLCs, although I don't have the same level of interest in them as I do the chapters and zone DLCs.

Even though I'm still on the fence about companions, I'll definitely try them out, and will use them if they're useful for me. My characters tend to have low-to-middling DPS (which suits me fine for the most part, since I enjoy fights that last for more than just a few shots), so they'll probably be at least somewhat useful for me.

The new endeavors sound like an interesting idea, sort of like the special challenges in Blades that reward you for achieving specific goals. If they give me a way to acquire currency for buying collectibles, I'm all for them. :)

It has maybe what 2 new rather not interesting features that could easily become base game in the future. Updates these days are becoming smaller and smaller, really concerning.

had preordered because of the welva mount.

Was not really excited, as Oblivion was what I liked less in Tes4, preferred Nirn.

But ok, a new region, and Argonians, at least something new after skyrim.

Meanwhile this "it's ok" feeling turned into heavy disappointment:

    - CP skills nerfed by 50%
    - Proc sets like Mad Tinkerer and all Monstersets becoming useless for magicka players
    - companions more a burden than a usefull addon according to PTS feedback

In addition it was announced, that we will get focus on fixes and improvements instead of rushed new content.
But on xbox and PS4 we must live for 6 weeks with a dysfunctional inventory, after weeks with an extremely slow inventory. I feel cheated.

Updates these days are becoming smaller and smaller, really concerning.

They said they were going to be putting out less new stuff so they could try to focus more of their time and efforts on making improvements, and a lot of people (I wan't say "everyone") expressed happiness about that. If they choose to put out the same number of DLCs and chapters but with somewhat less content in each one, how is that a bad thing? You'd rather have fewer DLCs and chapters? I mean, that's what some players have suggested, so I'm not knocking you if that's what you think; but I personally would prefer the same number of updates if possible, with a bit less content in each one if that's going to help give them more time and personnel to devote to making improvements.

Their business expenses don't go down just because they're shifting focus to work more on some things and less on others. That's how that works.

I play ESO for the TES, not the MMO or PVP. I know there are a lot of others like me. I get why some are not excited about this update. I am. I"ve been testing companions out on PTS and they are great for my level of play and have helped me solo some WBs and dungeons I wasn't able to on live. So I'm definitely looking forwared to it!

What I missed so far is immersion, and companions are what I desperately needed. Can't wait for the 1st of June! TES IV is also my first tes-game. Not gonna lie, I'm not a big fan of Mehrunes Dagon and his realm, but I really like Lyranth and looking forward to see her or another spicy daedra as my comrade.

I too play ESO for the TES, and not for the MMO or PVP aspects. I feel like I should be excited about companions, but I'm not. I'm still disappointed with the new CP system, and after playing ESO for 6 years I guess I am just burned out and tired of the grind. And now with all the inventory bugs on console, I can hardly tolerate playing at all. So it's clearly time for an extended break. Fortunately my ESO+ sub runs out in a few days when Mass Effect Legendary Edition hits, so my timing is perfect.

I am excited for this chapter dispute all the negative on the forums. I am a TES fan but also been playing MMOs for years. So the blend that is ESO is my idea of a great MMO. Companions are a positive, I don't want to chase meta either. I do my own thing and have fun doing quests hunting furniture plans and doing trials with a great guild. I look forward to the new chapter and I'm not letting the negative get me down.

Yes, always sad to see so much hate. Some people simply cannot evaluate something objectively. They don't like something because it's not what they want and then it automatically sucks and everyone else shouldn't like it either. And they have to communicate their dislike to everyone with the strongest of words. If someone doesn't like something, fine, but then there is no need to envy the other for the fun and try to shade a bad light on everything. That certainly doesn't apply to the majority, but you see it every day.

not pooping on it, but i originally thought i read the companions could wear the regular armors and all the skills open to us, but that was just me reading my excitement in probably.

generic armor, standing in the red, and limited skills...eh.
