Is it possible to tell your companion to move to a specific place?

Because this would make some dungeons like direfrost keep 'soloable'. We couldn't tell our companion to step on one switch while we do step on the other.

No, You can comand your pet to attack a specific targetted enemy or you can call your pet to you with the same comand; but You can't in no way to tell Your companion to go to a position and/or to stand still on a specific position.

The devs also confirmed the companions can’t activate the portal panels in AA, so it seems to follow that they can’t activate the plates in Direfrost either.

No. Which unfortunately makes them even more useless than they currently are. (I still have hopes that the devs will make them a *little* more useful eventually, but I’m a silly eternal optimist).

i love this idea, i hope they make it happen.
i remember in morrowind when our companions would stand in doorways and block others and us from moving, someone made a mod that gave the command to "Move!" and it made them move to another area by force. i love that mod, it would be awesome if here in eso as well.

I'm really disappointed that they can't just stand on the plate in Direfrost or pull the lever in ICP. It really hurts one of the biggest things I was excited about Companions.

As a tank, it's be great to have that extra DPS boost to solo a dungeon if I just want to farm pledges or something myself. It's a great challenge and really helps to learn mechanics, but it does take ages — I can do the HM in CoHI no problem, but it takes 20 minutes.

I'd love if I could get a DPS boost from Companions, but an extra light attack every second or two isn't doing much. I'll get more help from Leeching Plate now that that's getting a bit of a buff next patch considering I keep high health.

And now we can't even get them to do Direfrost plates? That's disappointing... What's next, are they going to give one of them an unhideable cosmetic that's been unobtainable for the last five years despite all the people begging for it?

"Mirri, come on, it's just a pressure plate. Don't make me call in one of the Undaunted and tell them you are too chicken to stand on a pressure plate."

"You know I don't like unsteady footing! It makes me seasick!"

The way she's always screaming about getting my balance and checking my footing in combat, I could actually see her saying that.

I mean, she also thinks Elden Root has a boat and gives you disapproval for taking her to the docks there... so I’m thinking she’s not so steady about more than footing.
