Shouldn't your racial passives be void when you choose to become a vamp or WW?

After seeing how Vamps handle in PvP, I think that the entire concept may need reworked. I don't think you should basically have to go Vamp to be highly competitive. Maybe the Vamp/WW should be more of for fun only kinda thing that gives you some sort of single target drain life thing once a target is below 15%, so you can suck their blood when they're almost defeated. Or, you can do a "suck blood" type attack from stealth that stuns target, drains health and adds a power buff for 10-15 seconds.

I don't care if ppl are vamps and ww's... I just don't want to hear so many ppl saying "It sucks that I had to go vamp to be competitive in pvp".

That's just my opinion tho. Regardless of how ridiculous some vamp abilities are, I'll never give in and become one. Because well, they're lame af.

I really do find it strange that some people playing as vampires seem to think the class is either ok or underpowered. Some of the vampire abilities are currently not working as intended, particularly in conjunction with passives from other skill lines, making high VR vamps unkillable by huge groups of players. Please don't respond to this with comments on how people need to use fighters guild abilities, if that's the only way for 20 people to kill a vampire then it's pretty obvious they aren't working correctly.

I'm hopeful all vampires need to sort them is a resolution to the couple of abilities that make them virtually unkillable (and obviously the fixing of their passives that keep resetting as that's hardly fair for them). Vampire players need to realise that whilst it should be tougher to kill them without using fighters guild abilities it mustn't be impossible, if it is then it quickly becomes the case that it's not viable to be anything other than a vampire! I like that people can choose to be vampires but it will quickly become annoying if everyone is running around as one.

Well i would prefer to see less vampires too. No discussion bout that point.

But as said before, the main reason you are seeing that many of them currently, is that almost no one is using the right skills against them and honestly thats not related to the warriors guild tree only. I have yet to see a sorc who is using negate magic against me or someone who even considers to try rooting me or something like that. All i see are people who try to deal damage to me.

Wich leads us to the second reason for that many people playing vampire atm. Mist Form is broken since it allows you to get healed why it shouldnt and this needs to be fixed. And vampires love to use mist form since almost noone considers to counter that with negate magic.

I personally am quite sure that this single broken vamp skill will be fixed by zenimax long before they even consider to look at all the broken passive skills of vamps since that many people - and they are totally right doing so - want it to get fixed since it's a very unfair advantage.

One thing iam thinking about since the first day of playing vampire here, is adding a 5th stage of vampirism. If you dont feed within a day after you have reached stage 5, you will end up as a onehit kill to almost every npc/player, forcing you to return to your starter region in order to find a npc that is actually low enough for you to feed on.

That would make us vampires think twice about going completely without blood in order to get the (not working since bugged) reduced cost for vampire abilites. Also this would for sure would make the one or other player think twice about how desirable it is to be a vampire.

As I say I'm hopeful that it will just take fixing mist form and the stacking of passives to allow the bat swarm ultimate to be virtually spamable and then the skill line will be pretty well balanced. What concerns me though is that other than yourself I don't think I have seen anyone who plays a vampire even acknowledging that there is an issue. Mostly I see people insisting that vampires should be virtually unkillable completely ignoring the fact this would mean everyone just ends up playing as a vampire.

I'm also sure your right that enough people just haven't figured out which skills will help them kill vampires yet. I think part of the problem there stems from the fact that people aren't yet used to switch skills enough and are too caught in the mindset of having the same 12 abilities for all situations.

I totally agree on that, also i just started a poll related to the feeding / vampirism stage 5 idea.

Mate , if they want to make the vampire and the WW visual only trees for flavour , that give 0 skills to be used in battle , i would have no problem at all with it.

But remove ALL the debuffs that come with the trees. Makes them visual only then, no vulnerability , no health regen problem ...
