I expect more nerfs. Maybe they will lower the furniture slot limits in housing. Because why not?

LOL! Take an awesome and insert obligatory L2P comment. This was one of the funniest comments I have read today...thanks!

Lordy. Not only wrecked the procs, they ruined the new Mythics, lol.

Stop complaining about sorcs. I hate them too but it's very simple to LoS them or use a shield ult to avoid them, also why would you want something as overturned as gaze to make it into the release?

    So patch notes are out:

No substantive changes to companion effectiveness or appearance options.

More or less decided against buying this chapter.

Sigh. The biggest complaint against companions was that if an AoE so much as tickles them they are dead, resulting in them being dead 90% of the time. But yet all we got was that they will "block incoming blockable attacks more consistently."

All my hype sucked out of me in a single second. Guess next time I will vote for dread. :(

ZOS please. Companions desperately need base damage reduction.

Also the test of "De-spawning Companions during extreme high population encounters (i.e., Harrowstorms or Dragons)" has me worried. I hope it doesn't go live. Or at least make it so they only de-spawn if 10+ players are around. I was really looking forward to being able to solo dragons with my companion. Although as it is now that won't happen anyway since they will be taking a dirt nap within 10 seconds of engaging a dragon.

It’s still unbelievable that the threshold for Weapon and Spell damage is still the same.

Does ZOS even play the game? Like honestly. Stamina already has the better tools, weapon skill lines and defensive capabilities in PvP and now their proc sets hit harder on top of that because Medium Armor just grants them way more Weapon Damage?

    Balance team, hello?

Not much to be happy for regarding Companions’ effectiveness. Supposedly they will block better — I’ll believe it when I see it. No increased mitigation or better DPS. /sigh

Light armor spell pen largely equalizes the damage dealt.

You can't just look at a single stat in a vacuum.

They're killing build diversity. This isn't just a "no preorder/buy" scenario, this is an uninstall scenario.

I'm hyped for the spectacle of the dumpster fire the patch will bring to pvp.

Although if it actually comes out alright I'll give them credit. But I have my doubts.

How are they killing build diversity? Proc cyro is coming back so if anything, they're expanding it.

There's going to be a small handful of broken PvP builds that stomp everything else. At least with the nerfs to Crimson and Gaze of Sithis, they've shown they're willing to try to fix it.

Oh I was being facetious, I love the nerfs they've done to these procs. It'll make pvp bearable till no proc comes back.

Honestly, they should invert proc scaling. The thresholds now are just benefiting the players with the best gear, highest CP etc. It will create a bigger gap than before.

PVP is played by a very vocal minority. In PVE, which is where the biggest chunk of the playerbase resides, they're killing builds that aren't 100% dedicated to dps/heals/tanking, which removes nearly all fun aspects the game had to offer. I reckon ZOS will change the slogan to "Play Our Way" when Blackwood hits.

They've reduced the damage by 44%.

Not only was the crimson set damaged nerfed by 44%, but sets that use Health now require 43,968 to reach their original values, up from 38,350, resulting in approximately a 13% reduction. So that's a 58% dmg nerf is using the regular health requirement values.

Let’s be honest here though: where in PvE do you need these builds? They’re mostly not good enough for veteran content and in normal content you really don’t recognize the nerfs because it’s so easy.

These changes only really affect you in PvP and, if you really used this niche builds, in hardcore PvE.

These new tanking sets helped tanks in PvE (where ZOS gets most of their money from) not have to spend money to respec every time they wanted to solo content. Now, if ZOS starts nerfing all the new tanking sets on PTR then this is just going make people not want to switch over to play tank to help with the tank shortage.

They are the reason these got implemented in the first place, because "proc meta cyro wasn't fun". Now the game isn't going to be fun for anyone, seeing how they doubled down on these changes.

Without either a supporting alteration to either Vampires or Ring of the Pale Order, Togglevamps are still removed from endgame content. I would rather have us balanced, not kicked out.

Yup, I pvp and pve, don't get mad at pvpers get mad at zos for not separating balance via battle spirit, and once again you can still "play your way".

I keep hoping they'll undo some of those changes... I'm especially annoyed by the nerf to Energy Orb (healing orb) as it took a nerf shot for no reason.
    They also dared to say:
Healing Orbs (morph): Increased the healing per tick of this morph by approximately 38%. This will result in less total healing overall but will still be stronger than most other AoE HoTs due to its mobile nature.
Ah ? STRONGER ? When on average it heals for less than half compared to the other skills ? And it only moves in a straight line slowly when all the other healing skills can be moved whenever, wherever and at a distance ?
Templar's Extended Ritual has the same kinds of restrictions as Energy Orb but is a lot wider, and despite the fact it heals only every two seconds it currently outheals Orb on the PTS...
I see people struggling to heal on live with our current overpowered Orb, I can't imagine if Orb becomes such a useless heal.
I'm so tired of healers being nerfed because ZOS doesn't know how to deal with the damage done by DPS.
Healers lost crit, they'll lose some more, and now one of their best heals is also nerfed.
Just because ZOS is stubbornly nerfing all the DPS left and right when the reason score pushing and skipping mechanics in a trial is a thing is mostly because of the incredibly OP debuffing sets, not the raw damage of DPS.
You'd think they could figure out as much by comparing the parses on the Trial Dummy vs the non-debuffed Dummies.
