With proc sets on pts scaling with stats magicka makes even with penetration, lower tooltips, same damage.
It's not that light armor is screwed next patch, non proc sets user are screwed.
Also gaze of sithis will be sweet on 4/6 mag classes.

Your example is a group of five. Organized group can be far better than pug, pug can be far better than soloing.
What's your own 1v1 experience against stamina toons?
Have you managed to 1vX against stamina toons alone as a light armor toon?
Which class do you usually play in PvP? How many pieces of light armor do you use?

It's not a meme. I've ran a test dark elf new moon, clever alchemist light amor does less damage then new moon, clever alchemist medium armor. Medium armor has 14% boost in weapon damage, great swords have higher weapon damage than staffs not including the extra weapon damage from 2H passive, and if you add in the passive from fighters guild for each skill slotted. Your talking 8k+ weapon damage for medium armor.
Plus don't forget about roll Dodge, break Free magic class has to lose power to account for the extra needed stamina for PVP (maybe like with the ice staff if they change the passive if you wear five pieces or more light armor it cost magic to roll Dodge not Stam)
I'm a seasoned PVP player from the inception of it and I have noticed the extreme difficulty in Solo with a magic tune in PvP unless your a sorc then I rule in that role. My high elf Templar does more DPS as a medium armor build than it does as a magic build. Yes the penetration is nice but it does not make up for the extreme amounts of weapon damage that can be obtained through a medium armor build.
If it's popping up everywhere (the meme) that is. It must be important to a lot of people, besides you.
In a group it's fine but I've seen one Stam toon take on 10 mag builds and win most of the time. I know cause I can do it on my hi elf stamplar.
But trying to get people to see the plight of light armor is falling on deaf ears and it's getting tiresome honestly.

✭Yeah, it's kind of a problem that magika toons in light armour now take more damage against stamina attacks since then it favours stam toons in medium armour who literally get no weaknesses for their armour.3 -

We always played stamina characters (except one) and we decided to roll mag chars for no proc because it felt better.
Im having a better experience soloing as a mag than as stamina (keep in mind I'm a stamdk main).
Currently I'm rolling 6 pieces light 1 heavy, 5 fortified 5 , 1 shadowrend 1 dominhaus, dual maces main bar resto staff back.
1v1 is quite a beast, i win most of encounters (with equal skilled players, I'm not playing that much lately).
1vX i feel better than my stamdk and i find easier to survive thanks to cheaper dodgeroll and better stamina management, better heals (rapid regen ticking more than vigor) and unexpected burst damage thanks to minor+major force when I'm on defensive with resto ult and my molten whip crits (i have seen 17k crits).
Keep in mind that magdk is the bottom of the barrel.
