Greetings!

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

We are sorry to hear that your GameTime card was damaged while you were scratching it and that you are now unable to redeem it.

We are, however, unable to help you directly with physical Game Time cards. We suggest you notify the retailer you purchased it from to see if they are willing to help in some way!

Thank you for your continued interest and support

Oh, look at that. Passing the blame around. The cards are provided by ESO/ZOS and therefor need to fix it for you. The cards are sent to GameStop and they have no control over the cards themselves. Is there a phone number on the card or any other contact information on it? You'll want to contact the manufacturer for a fix.

Well, seems to me that this should be retailers problem. They sold you a faulty product so they should replace it for you. It's the retailers problem how he handles things with Zenimax of their faulty game cards, not yours.

I know for a fact, with a receipt and as long as the code has not been used it can be returned defective (the computer will know when it is scanned in their system if the code has been used) and exchanged for a new one. Only if the code has been used then would it be ESO, issue.

If the store refuses, please ask them to contact their District Manager. The only codes that cannot be returned are the codes that are printed on the receipt directly. If you had a card and scratched the back off to get to the code it can be returned defective if the code has not been used.

I live in the USA and that is how it is done here. I wish you luck!
