Is was about what botting does to the ESO economy...
You can get a cheaper product but you have to accept you are sending local businesses broke? Supporting another country that may not have the same values or working standards. (Cheaper labour) you kind of answered your own question.
That’s why it is a moral choice to you there is nothing wrong with it, to me there is...
It’s was related to say what Kmart and shops like that have to done to local business. What bots have done to the ESO economy selling Things for cheaper, now people putting in the effort to farm materials are going broke.
Just in my opinion.
If the product is cheaper and the quality is the same, shouldn't the local business reflect on their product or pricing instead? This is different from botting as botting is a bannable offence, imaging saying international trade is immoral and a crime as well. I understand and appreciate about supporting local businesses, but why is it immoral to buy from other countries just by judging from the fact that it is from a different country?
So in your point of view, most people in the world are all immoral? I highly doubt any of us do not own stuff made by other countries rather than your local business. I live in the Uk but my iphone is designed in US and made in china/asia, Sometimes I buy beef/veg made in US and europe, so I must be a criminal to you.
I get why ZOS apparently lacks interest in bots. What I don't understand is why Microsoft is not more interested in stopping botting on their consoles.
Interesting point, I wonder if we should generally redirect more feedback towards MS than ZoS.I get why ZOS apparently lacks interest in bots. What I don't understand is why Microsoft is not more interested in stopping botting on their consoles.
They are, actually. Back when I used to report bots, I reported to ZoS and Microsoft. I got substantially more action from Microsoft than I ever got from ZoS. As in actual acknowledgement that some of my reports had been acted on.
This is a huge problem on PS4 as well. Not just in starter zones but in any location where bears, mud crabs or skeevers are in abundance. I was told once (regarding PS4) that this was a Sony issue and not on ZOS to address.

My feeling is that this is complicated. ZOS is just the provider of a game. The players in that game are there because they are customers of Sony. They bought the console from Sony, the PS Plus from Sony, and the game from Sony. They are a Sony customer first, and an ESO customer second. That makes the whole banning issue something that is likely established between Sony and ZOS, the details of which might actually be written into the contract with Sony.
The same probably applies to XBox, but with ZOS now being part of Microsoft, the dynamic there has changed. To what extent, I have no idea. It is probably complicated there, too.

There would be a responsibility on both I’m unsure of Microsoft’s terms and services but Zenimaxs clearly states it is breaking there’s

The ToS, CoC, and other rules can clearly state whatever they want. The only thing that matters is what gets enforced. Whether to enforce, and the degree to which they do it, are debatable where this subject is concerned.
This has been a problem on console for years now. You'd think that with all the money they make they could hire some proper GMs - or just send the moderators in there since that would be vastly better use of that resource - that keep an eye on the game, run events, etc. Instead, management apparently doesn't care or it'd have been dealt with properly.
