Pelinal's Aptitude in light of proc set scaling.

Overall I like how the new proc set scaling allows stamina builds to utilize stamina sets which proc magical effects (Ashen Grip, Shadow of the Red Mountain, Way of Fire, etc.) to their fullest potential, but this begs the question about what is to be done with Pelinal's Aptitude. This set has been largely obsolete, and more and more sets and skills are starting to scale with the highest stats anyway so I think it might be an appropriate time for a rework of this set.

    Someone had the idea of turning Pelinal's into a Mythic item, which seems reasonable.

    Otherwise, having it also scale your Penetration and Critical Rate values to your maximum seems like a long overdue improvement.

    the set should be re worked to be like dunmer / shacklebreaker. and provide slightly below average stats for both magicka and stamina specs.

    so from this:
    (2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
    (3 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
    (4 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
    (5 items) Your Spell and Weapon Damage both become the highest of the two values.

    to this
    (2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
    (3 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage and Spell Damage
    (4 items) Adds 129 Magicka and Stamina Recovery
    (5 items) Adds 280 Weapon and Spell Damage

    these numbers are based on other hybrid sets like new moon / shackle / racial passives, etc. interesting to note that dunmer actually does not receive less weapon and spell damage then things like high elf, orc, etc. but just a wee bit less max magicka and stamina.

    No... this would kill the set off entirely.

    You have to really lean into it but you get Pelinal's to give you 3000+ Spell Damage which is still very useful. The above change would just make the set into a watered-down New Moon.

    But really, just have the set scale all of your offensive stats (Damage, Penetration, Critical Chance) to your highest values. Easy change that suddenly makes the set extremely relevant again.

    The set isn't used because they keep nerfing crit, and crit is one of the hardest stats to balance on a hybrid build of any kind.

    Also, it makes little sense to use the set when there are alternate ways to build a hybrid that require less sweating in PvP.

    This set has been garbage for a long time, but now, as before, there are bigger fish to fry.
