So First, thx dir the Nerv! This Set was really to strong.

But this change are stupid...
Malacath's Band of Brutality: This set now increases your damage done by 16% but reduces your Critical Damage done by 50%, rather than increasing your damage done by 25% and making you unable to deal Critical Damage.

Just change it to:
increasing your damage done by 16% and making you unable to deal Critical Damage. This only affects damage caused by abilities.

    No.

This change was obviously done to open up build diversity. You're no longer punished specifically for using any of the following: Sorc, NB, Warden, Templar, Khajiit, Daggers, Axes, Medium, Light, 1-4 piece crit bonuses, minor/major force, Crit conditional proc sets, RAT, and/or crit rush.

Not to mention the issues it caused by allowing you to completely avoid all crit resistance from your enemies.

What exactly is your argument against the change?

They could treat it like the PO ring. Just keep it at 25% but not allow outside buffs/sources to influence it, only the player. Just keep the item for PVE use but nerf it in PVP. PVP keep it at 16% but no cit and no outside buffs/sources to influence the ring.

Not sure how "not allow outside buffs" and "keep the item for PvE" goes together.

Well the po ring won’t allow another player to heal you, same thing for brutality ring..won’t be able to get resources from the orb for example. You can get healed but no stam or magic sustain/aid.

You get 16% more damge, of curse ther is a downside. This is a one piece Set. Its give you a flat Bonus what stack with minor/Major brutality/sorcery/ berserk.

When you are a Sorc and wear this set, you don't get punished. You still get 16% more damge.

16% flat more damge (this is not a Buff), Major Berserk gives you "just" 10%.

So when you get 16% more damge for free, ther must be a big downside.

50% crit damage reduction means you have no multiplier and you would have to stack crit damage just to get back your base.

Just put it back. My crit cro does more damage without it.

Have you actually tested that? I have my doubts that your crit will deal less damage than your non-crits with this.
