Trial Body Markings Underwhelming

Really underwhelming imo. Lots of body markings look similar/better than this. I think in the future a skin reward is a much better option. I don’t like complaining about rewards in general but surely I’m not the only one who’s at least slightly disappointed with this. Surely something like Bloodrune markings that come from the Harrowstorm dungeons but a lime or dark green would fit the theme (at least somewhat) of the trial (swampy argonian at the beginning at least) and would look like something someone would wear. The face markings from the hard mode clear are barely even able to be seen on non humans. I do apologise for the resolution of the image though. I play on Ps4 and my laptop is a potato.

vSS gave us both a mount and a skin. It’s quite disappointing because the mount is the only nice looking thing to come from this trial.

I get that it's not a shiny magical skin, but I think it's a cool new cultural tattoo. And the argonian trial motif (only viewable on PTS when equipping the trial gear) also looks really nice.

The face markings do seem prettu underwhelming for hardmode, but not just cuz it's not shiny.

That's honestly terrible. I'm guessing the hardmodes won't be that difficult, when the carrot at the end of the stick is a trash face marking. I don't understand their obsession with face markings. I really don't.

would be a lot cooler if we could use tats and scars instead of being forced to choose one or the other, that way rewards like this could actually be worth while from time to time.

The thing is zos ignoring what people actually wish getting versus what their art department did and need distributing between all the content they releasing.

Most raiders I've known preferred skins, personalities or mounts as a reward, actually new one is a hit looking pretty wowesque and "badass" so to say in an eye of an average raider. pretty sure people would ride it frequently. Glow, looks, bit intimidating sfx and all this stuff.

But markings are a miss here, not just because looking "uncool" and mundane, it just have more roleplay value than a showing off achievement kind of thingy, more suitable for a superior tier in an argonia themed crate season than a vet dlc hardmode reward. Most underwhelming rewards are mementos, pets and simple markings for people I've met and heard on forums but zos for some reason proceeding with their tries to feed it to the wrong audience or lure more casual players into those activities.

Well at least a players armor will cover up those markings since there is no way to hide armor pieces
