Botters, exploiters, constant gold spammers, and community flamers who will verbally abuse you openly in forums if you bring up issues like this. This game has them all in abundance. Just like many of the other games that have ended up an Steam's free to play menu. As I would hate to see this happen, ESO really needs to take an active part in the game community and make some changes quickly.

Honestly , these issues aren't being addresses to the satisfaction of the people that pay to play this game. Why ?

Eso has so much potential yet its being tossed away but the very company that made the game. Why ?

Congratulations, and welcome to every MMO that has ever existed on the planet.

You also cant start an argument and state that anyone who opposes it is flaming you. If your points suck, they suck. That's calling a spade a spade, not flaming. And your points suck. Tell me something ESO does poorly that every single other MMO does better and we can talk about something fruitful, but what you mentioned is stuff every MMO struggles with, some even a decade or more after they release.

Not to sound defensive but Zenimax is doing all they can to prevent bots, gold farmers and exploits. As much as we hate those things, I bet Zenimax hates them more as they exist like pests to them and potentially ruin their profits.

There are threads that show GMs in action against bots and they need our help too. Just report any gold farmers, exploiters, bots that you encounter and this in turn, will help the game to be in better state.

They are doing all they can against these botters and cheaters. Do you think its easy? It's not like the cheaters come to test their methods in the beta. The game is less than a month old. Now they are fighting back. There are always those who seek to exploit. This is in every online game out there. Im sure Zenimax would love to put all their focus on improving content and fixing bugs. If people took their time and report things instead of fuming in the forums about it we would have a better game faster.

No, every MMO doesn't struggle with the massive amounts of bots that this game has. You're just wrong in saying that.
Yes currency spammers are in fact in every game out there, but no way is it as bad as this, even at launch. I have been playing MMO's for many years and have taken part in every major and a few minor MMO launches since UO and have never seen something this bad before.

    Your argument is irrelevant.
Botters - have been banned already, seek the other threads made tonight/today regarding botters and the actions taken in the last 24 hours.

Exploiters - have been banned already, the duplication exploit was corrected with in 24 hours from then ZOS and Bethesda were made aware of the issue and were able to action a hotfix on the server.

Gold Spammer - sure, they are a continual issue in the beginner zones of the map, play the game for more than an hour and you soon level out of the area they are in and they are no longer a problem. Certainly not game breaking, a simple 'ignore' or turning off zone chat will quickly resolve that.

If calling someone who can criticize or rebuttal your points a 'community flamer', then you sir should review what you post on the internet.

You by far are dead wrong.. I've been in quite a bit of mmo launches and they all HAVE HAD them. It takes at least a year or two before they die down a bit but they will still be there. Just won't be as noticeable. Also Zenimax are doing all they can to do. Last night while playing I even got a yellow announcement pop up on my screen that a GM was on and gave his name to report gold spammers and bots to him and he'll go and ban them.

The game has only been out a month. So far ZOS is doing everything they know how to fight bots and spammers. On top of that they are trying to fix broken quests and other bugs. And build new content, too boot. I say it's still WAY too early to say just what the future holds, but I can assure you that ZOS does not want this to be F2P.

If what you say is true I have to ask how old are you? Lineage 2 has had bots in a larger abundance than this since launch. RFO has had issue with bots since launch in both Asia and the West. World of Warcraft has had a major issue with bots to this day, heck their is a song from the Burning Crusade days as a tribute to how many bots there were. I can give a long list of MMOs that had and still have an issue with bots and gold farmers.

The World of Warcraft forums had way more rage and hate in it than I see here. Here I see a few people providing most of the rage, hate and trolling. Other MMOs in general have the same people. Also, the community of a game should never be decided by its forums. Only a fraction of a game's population comes the the game's actual forums.

TESO is dealing with issues that are present in every MMO. You say you've participated in many launches - I'm not sure if you just blocked it out or if you had chat turned off, but every major and especially minor MMO will always have spammers, botters, and gold sellers. Oh, and trolls - especially trolls that find ways to scam people.

Does it bother me? Yes, it does. What do I do about it? Report every single piece of spam that I see and turn off zone chat unless I really need to buy one resource or another. Don't make deals that involve large transactions with people you don't know and trust. Yes, it takes some extra effort on my part. But, you know what? I've already seen a huge difference between the situation now and the situation in the past. It's certainly going to do more than creating a clone thread full of hate and negativity to clutter up the Customer Support area of the forums.

I am by no means a defender of ZOS, but I will give credit where its due. I believe ZOS is making a real effort to get this under control. All we can do is support that the best we can as players.

Why must everyone think every game is going FTP.

And why do they think that will magically make it better? FTP games get FAR FAR worse, not better.

The game is enjoyable, with some bugs to work out, and some bots that they ARE currently dealing with. If your immersion is so broken atm, leave for a few weeks, or a month, and come back when the bugs are worked out. I personally love the game so far(Currently VR10).

Posting a thread like this does nothing. They are not sitting around saying " oh look some guy on forum thinks game is going FTP, maybe we should fix something now".

    You are absolutely, 100% wrong.

You notice it more here because of the quirks of a megaserver. Go round up all of the bots in WoW and throw them on the same server - you would have 5 times as many.

And the real problem in WoW isn't even bots, it's that they dont need to use that anymore when account compromise is so damned easy with that game and they can get way more gold that way.

At least Rift, ESO, and other games have a locking system when your account is accessed from somewhere else.

In any case, if you haven't seen something this bad you've been playing with your eyes closed. Consider that this is a triple A MMO launch with probably over a million players, you cant compare it to anything but other MMO's with similar numbers, which there aren't that many to begin with. WoW was way worse at launch, I know that for a fact, and again, that was multi-server based. If anything, this kind of visibility is good - when ZoS figures it out, there will be no place for bots to hide unlike muilti-server based games where there's MANY places to hide.

PSH the more botters they let develop. The more they can BAN and then those botters buy more accounts which is more money in their pocket. Of course the money is probably stolen CC's. But they get the money still either way.
