Some Sorcerer observations

I saw a post about the balance change of Malacath's Band of Brutality being tailored to sorcs -which I disagree with lol- but it led me to think on the sorc changes for PvE this patch.
Unfortunately for stamsorcs these are all mage based (still rooting for an air atronach ultimate morph!!). But boy are they nice ones in my opinion.
1) 3.3% extra damage on the execute -very deserved, was even broken before (as this is a rank-up fix). It will still not be a good execute, but people who use this should get a bit more bang for their buck.
2) Lightning flood/liquid lightning most likely being better than necrotic orb -used to be one of the signature skills for sorcs, but since the necrotic orb buff numerous patches ago, it just was too weak. The other things that changed is how prevalent it was on the battlefield and the failing synergy activations, these changes will help with its performance as well. Now it's at least a better alternative (if not the best choice) in the sorcs toolkit.
3) Illambris proccing both fire and lightning damage again -amazing for sorcs, this used to be a good choice before Zaan (and even after Zaan for people who couldn't get Zaan) or Maw. Although monster sets will likely see a nerf this patch (gotta wait still for the pts to come online), this opens up more balanced set choices which is always great for the game. This goes hand in hand with the previous changes, more lightning damage done means Illambris gets more procs off and you can balance and be more creative with other lighting based sets.

Illambris used to proc both at the same time in the past, it was pretty good back then. BUT they said they adjusted the damage. That probably means they cut it in half so DPS stays the same. So what gives?

That it's now a more unique choice for the sorcerer. And I hope they didn't cut it in half, since the uptime will be lower (even if it is by 1%). Probably more like 40% change of which the sorcerer can profit.
