Who cares about that when PvP is a complete mess...if you group with people you will get DC's and your actions bars stop working

But I have noticed a steep decline in the number bots over the last week in Stonefalls. I'm a little confused as to why nobody else in this thread seems to have noticed this but me.

You don't see every player in a region. If you did, you would see 50,000 people in one area at times. You're sub-instanced to certain other matched players (including, for example, your friends, guild etc). As you progress you are less likely to see malicious players, basically, because they've probably been banned by that point.

The explains why other players matched into different sub-instances than I may not being seeing the same results then. So ty for the insight.

But I would have still expected this to be a more general activity regarding all sub instances, and not just my own.

So I still don't understand why no one else but me seems to be recognizing a significant decline in bots. Because I have seen their number drop dramatically in Stonefalls during this last week. And it's been very noticeable.

Maybe I just got into a lucky sub-instance.

    Thats nice :)

But when I can't play coz I'm at work, and I want to know the state of a game by hearing other players' opinions about it. I start a discussion in a forum where everyone's most active.

I tried making an EP character last night, forgot to change the faction and ended up on AD, spend a few minutes trying to figure out if I liked how my chars face turned out, saw no bots or gold spam during that time. Made the EP character later, again no gold spam in the starting city.
I used to go back to vylkhel (sp?) guard even on my high level character because I prefered the layout and the bots and gold spammers would be instantly noticeable. There has either been a significant improvement or some of us have been pretty lucky regarding what instance we end up in.

If anything, the bots are far worse. You don't just run into them at delve bosses. Now you see them all over the questing areas.

That's what they need to do but their GM's stay as far away from the game as they possibly can.

I am one person and if I can log in and find dozens upon dozens of bots with very little effort then I am sure a GM could do so as well (if they wanted to).

I am just going to assume that ZOS is enjoying the income from all the accounts being purchased and are taking that to the bank and calling it a day.

Gold seller/spammers , bots, and exploiters are just as bad as ever.
    Nothing is done about it.
Actually if you check the thread here you can see that they took in-game action towards them this morning. http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/87358/zos-is-doing-something-about-bots

It seems they're taking the issue very seriously (as has been stated) and looking for more and more ways to fight back.

Of course they stay far away from the game...they know how broken it still is a whole month after such a pitiful Launch. And if they weren't making money off them the BOTS would be gone, unless people have found a way to play without paying ZoS

The game is great. It has its issue but overrall it is great since release. If something caused you to leave then youre not going to want to come back because youll just leave again. Its a thing about patience and entitlement.

Being able to play a game you pay for has nothing to do with entitlement...that's why the smart companies go FtP. What was the last successful SUB game again?

I was reading through the recent discussion titles and I ran across this one again... while I was reading it, I read it as a song, and I was thinking, that would make a great commercial jingle.

How's ESO now! Sung to the Get a piece of the Rock jingle from the 80s. Followed by a video montage of a player running through a dungeon, a group of players eating and drinking in the inn, a bird taking off from a rock over the ocean, and then a gate to the Wailing Prison where gold farmers and botters are in cages screaming in perma-fire, and finally ending in a bunch of guys with GM t-shirts raising stout mugs.

Perhaps a few weeks from now they could release this commercial. I give Zenimax full rights to my commercial idea. Of course by posting it on this forum, they might already have the rights. ;)
