Can't gift the Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack?

So apparently if someone has the Imperial DLC, which everyone does, you cannot gift them the Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack. It says you can only gift it at the full price of 4000 crowns? Is this a bug?

Are you sure full cost there means 4000 crowns? I think it just means there's no extra discount for owning part of it.

If the Crown Store won't let you proceed with the transaction, Customer Support can help you with it.

The price is for the full package, no discount for owning part of the content already due to there already being a discount on the package.

You are missing the point, it is on sale for 2000 crowns, but can only be gifted for 4000 crowns if someone, which is everyone, already owns part of it... ie: the Imperial DLC,

This is a known issue that began when they made the Imperial City DLC available for free. From that point on, anyone who has IC (and it’s free, so nearly everyone does!) cannot buy or be gifted the Guilds and Glory bundle.

Zeni really needs to address it by updating that package and removing IC. Until they do, you can contact support and they can help you gift it to your friend.

Expect that you will get a useless response to your ticket initially (I’m betting on “here’s a link to our Crown Store gifting article, your ticket is now closed”). You’ll need to reply to that automated email and repeat your issue, then you will get higher tier support.

This was fixed a year ago and is no longer an issue.

Umm, yes it is still an issue. I just tried to gift it to a friend. See screenshot in my original post, definitely not fixed.

No, the issue before was you couldn't gift at all. It used to say "can not be gifted." Now it gives you that message but you can click continue and make the gift.

Also, as I said before, I'm pretty sure the cost is still the discounted 2000 crowns and the screenshot in your post is just bad wording, but you'd have to click continue to confirm.

This is because of Imperial City DLC
If the person whom you plan to gift the bundle had already unlocked IC (which is free), the transaction fails.
    The issue is not new.
I had already opened the support ticket on the issue (same circumstances: Megapack discounted, like a year ago), but support response arrived in a week after the discount offer already ended, so before that i just transferrred money to my friend, thus making them to purchase crowns and buy the pack.

They should remove IC and replace it with Clockwork.Supposedly IC is free for a limited time, but there's no way to see how "limited" of a time it is,and it's been free a long time.

So gift somebody the 2000 Crowns and tell them to buy the package themselves. QED.

That isn't a solution. Maybe they are using crowns they received from subscribing and don't want to spend money for more.

Well, Imperial City has been free for so long that it should be officially removed from the mega-pack. And possibly added to the base-game for future players.

Maybe replace it in the mega-pack with the Imperial Edition bonuses (Imperial Race and Horse).

Yeah no, I am not clicking it and finding out it charged me 4000 crowns and then try to deal with ZOS to get a refund, they will simply say we put a huge warning, why did I click it.

Fair enough. I wouldn't click either for the same reason, but I do think the problem is bad wording.

If it's on sale, it's on sale.

The pop-up message means the price won't be discounted by adjusting for any content already owned. I got the exact same type of pop-up message when I purchased a DLC collector's edition that was on sale when I already owned the DLC as part of the Guilds & Glory bundle, because I wanted the mount and pet that came with the DLC collector's edition but which do not come with the Guilds & Glory bundle. The sale price on the DLC collector's edition was less than it would have cost to buy the mount and pet separately. I had to pay the full price-- meaning the full current asking price, meaning the half-off sale price. The message was letting me know I wouldn't receive any additional discount for the fact that I already owned the DLC zone.

But if you are afraid to buy it as a gift and find out that way, then contact Customer Support-- but do it while the sale is still on, otherwise you will miss out on the opportunity to gift the bundle to your friend at the sale price.
