Good job.

This is getting out of hand. Long wait times to get no credit for a kill is disheartening. No reason to continue the dungeon after getting the skyshards now.

Yup. Just reported about 2 dozen in a public dungeon a few hours ago. I know you are trying backend things, but seriously, stick a few GMs on with a ban hammer popping between the dungeons for an 8 hour period and you'll quickly take out a large chunk of their accounts. Dealing a swift knockout blow to farming bot accounts will help in the other areas.

I watched one of them do an instance of Del's Claim. It is always a temporary condition.

Not only that, but the GMs make a big flashy production out of it. It will not take long for campers to adjust and flee the area to avoid the GMs..

Someone posted a screenshot of a GM telling players to move if they are not bots, this too will be a trigger for bot makers to move the bots to avoid the GM.

I just don't get why this is so hard to get a grip on, every player knows exactly who the bots are before they even see them attack a boss.

    I just don't get it.

Not all bots are run by gold merchants.
There are some very sophisticated ones run by a certain type of players for their own reasons (like leveling quickly up to PvP level, or simply because they are to lazy or too rushed so as to collect resources manually). I am quite convinced there are guilds out there running bots. These are difficult to detect for they have valid names and are equipped often nicely.

I am going to have to go back and visit many solo dungeons just to get credit for them and the achievement as it is almost impossible to get a hit in edge wise with all the bots. Make me wonder if a new achievement should be granted named "Survived the Bots". But it looks like I'll get the other achievement entitled "The Bots Win This Round" or "I Quit".

Equip a melee weapon (preferable a dagger) and keep swinging the light attack before the boss even spawns. Then when he DOES spawn, you will get at least one hit in and you'll get the achievement.

You can kiss all the loot goodbye, you'll never do enough damage to get loot but at least you'll get the achievement.

WHAT?!? Loot is dependent on how much damage you do.... WOW these public dungeons just get more and more ridiculous.

Zeni just change them to a one time loot deal with the option of solo or group. It's f'in stupid...

Then people would complain when they don't get the blue item in that one and only drop. Or want two, or this or that.

Once the bots are gone, you won't have problems with real players stealing all the credit on the bosses. That only happens because bots aren't human and have no reaction time or sense of boredom from spamming the same attack all the time.

The answer to this problem isn't to limit the game more for legit players, the solution is quite simple really, banish those bots to oblivion.

This doesn't stop what they're doing from being JUST AS BAD. And just as against the ToS, therefore bannable.

I agree. It's not enough for a GM to pop in and kill the bots, a ban must be immediate. Pop in, say as a firefly or some small, innocuous thing and observe for a bit, then start banhammering.

Seriously, it'd be EPIC. Just like this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK-75T7DSP4
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

Er, why the faux shock horror?

ALL mob drops have ALWAYS required you to do a percentage of the damage, it's just that non-bosses have such low health even a hit winth a level 1 dagger is likely to reach the threshold.

This has been know since before beta, to qualify for loot you need to do around 10% damage being grouped with someone who does decent damage, healing damage also gives loot.
Don't know the exact reasoning, I thought you needed 10% to get credit too.

My advice is to ignore the lower level public dungeons for now. In higher leveler public dungeons bots is far rarer. both the 15-25 and 25-33 AD public dungeons had no bot then I did them this and previous week.
You can always come back for the achievement later.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

That's the way the dungeons were designed. Everyone and I do mean everyone who has ever played an mmo before knows that botters will camp sites or bosses where they can get loot. It's up to the developer to design mechanisms to prevent or to at least impede botters into the game.

It's like a bank atm. If a bank's atm software is poorly designed, it's going to get robbed over and over and over again.
