I got a warning telling me that I had been logged off from server for sending too many messages ( and inviting me not to spam).
However, I did not have sent a single message since a long time, surely not during that session. Before the warning I was unable to use the way shrine I was in (tried to several times).
NA Mac server, using Catalina.
I reloaded and all went on without further issues

✭This is a bug that people report from time to time. People who don't type in chat ever will be told they are spamming messages and booted and then log on like nothing happened. Another one that has been popping up for me is "You are already logged in to this account" when i haven't even had ESO booted up for hours. Definitely some server/client communication issues in this game.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭What happened is there was a delay in communication between your client and the server. So when the server caught up, all the client messages (like character position or activating the wayshrine) got received at once. Hence "too many messages."
There's nothing you can do about it, since there was nothing you did to cause the delay in the first place.3 -
LettuceBrain✭✭✭I just made a thread about this without realizing there was one about it. I am on Xbox NA and had the same issue. It also kept saying that I joined the area voice channel in the upper right of my screen. Has that happened to anyone else?they/them/theirs0
