Every night or so, at least 2-3 times a night in most factions chat, there is a serious issue that plagues the game. Players will discuss inappropriate topics and make seriously offensive, racist remarks.
These are the kinds of remarks that if I made them in your restaurant, you would ask me to leave, and if I didn't, police would be escorting me out. These are the types of remarks that have caused many forums to demand you to link to a Facebook Identification System to "verify your identity".
1. I would like a refresh of the rules that I may cite when the worst of belligerence is spoken.
2. I would like an expansion to my ignore list of 500 slots and I will pay $50.00 USD for it, if you want it.
3. I would like serious action taken to prevent Game Chat from degenerating to a troll chat. I am sick of topics about "Why black people are bad" polluting the chat.
Let us keep this discussion clean. I know I cannot be the only one infuriated that my ignore list has capped out long ago, and I can never ignore enough Gold Sellers and Nazis. Every modicum of communication has at least some form of rules to maintain decency, seemingly except ESO.
Please, help us keep a civil chat environment!

✭I also enjoy some drama unfolding, but not when that drama is a debate about why poor people are worthless, why black people are bad, why mexican people at the taco truck might try to bite you...
And it isn't just once in a while, it is all the time, it is a norm. It is the paragon of uncivil behavior; speech of absolute barbarity. This isn't just someone angry making a statement or 2 either, this is about huge swathing conversations that flood the screen.
To make matters worse, a limited ignore list means I cannot just ignore them.
And group finder tool might still pair me with them, forcing me to help them (my memory isn't the best).
I wouldn't be complaining about it on this level IF there were no limit on the ignore list, I could solve my own problem with my own behavior if that were the case, but I can't.
When I ask people in game to tone it down, they go on tangents about free speech, and ask me to cite the rule, and I would like someone from ZOS to post that rule here for me to refer to forever. I would also like to feel confident that I can suggest my Black and Mexican friends to play this game without being afraid that I am inviting them to a *** *** Klan meetup.Edited by Soloeus on April 25, 2014 7:41AM

Not trying to be a jerk OP - but I think something was said to you, by some ignorant dirt-bag (who was probably no older than 16) and it's been eating away at you ever since... Because I haven't once encountered a situation similar to what you've described. I am about 5 days in /played, been through the entire bracket of zones for the EP, on NA servers, and not once did I hear a conversation such as "Why black people are bad" ... not once.
You CANNOT. CANNOT. CANNOT. Escape trolls on the Internet. CANNOT.
No level of banning, community outreach, or policing /zone chat fixes this.
This is the result of two natural occurrences.
- Internet anonymity (which is thankfully becoming extinct with the immersion of Facebook, though no MMO ever would require a Facebook link unless they want to lose money hand over fist)
- Common ignorance, hatred, homophobia, xenophobia, sexism, racism, and ect. that exists in the world.
Report, ignore, move on.
You've seriously got to be joking about the 500 slot ignore list thing. I truly hope you are, if you've even come CLOSE to exceeding that limit, either you're impossibility sensitive to anything and everything, or you're pissing off a fair amount of people yourself.Edited by Johnny_NO_skillz on April 25, 2014 8:13AM0
