PvE or PvP? [2021 edition]

Easy question: do you focus more on the PvE side of things (dungeons, trials, housing) or do you focus more on PvP (Cyrodiil, battlegrounds, Imperial City) in ESO? I added the option Both for players that focus on both.

If you’re mostly PvEing, but occasionally play PvP, please don’t choose the option Both. The same goes for PvP, if you’re doing some dungeons besides PvP. Both only applies to players that spend a similar amount of time in both worlds, e.g. 10 hours PvE and 10 hours PvP per week.

I probably dont spend the same amount of time in each. Its not equal, for obvious reasons, but I would leave the game permanently if either were not fun or removed.

I used to spend about equal time in both areas, but with the extended maintenance on the PS4 now, I'm down to ZERO.

PvP

In most other MMORPGs I’ve been strictly a PvE player, but somehow PvE (dungeons and trials) in ESO barely interests me. I just love the PvP in this game, although it’s buggy, the performance is bad and there’s no balance. But it’s still hella fun.

PvP

The neat thing about PVPers is we have to get good at both PVE and PVP. It's like being bilingual, but with skills instead of languages. That doesn't mean we're all top tier raiders, but we all had to learn how to PVE in order to farm gear for PVP. Farming mythics, arena sets, monster sets, etc that's all PVE.

With that said, I try to do the bare minimum amount of PVE that I have to, outside of AoE grinding for CP or something. But beyond that, my focus is PVP...and decorating my houses.

I’m normally considered a “PVPer” but it really depends on the week at this point. Sometimes I go hardcore into PVP where 80-90% of my time is there and sometimes I don’t play it at all.

Currently I’m working on an ESO project where I’m trying to complete every zone and also solo each 4 man dungeon at least once. I put together a triple proc set about a month ago that is stupidly OP and I can’t use it in Cyrodiil, so I figured now is as good a time as any to solo stuff I’ve avoided for 5 years. Got me 3 new trophies to hang on my wall this week already!

Note - 5 Sload, 5 Thunderbug, 2 Grothdarr is the NPC melter.

I do mostly PvP and to me it is the more enjoyable activity but being a good PvPer has also made me really good at PVE so I do both.

I was in both before 2nd (or 3rd?) wave of proctank meta in pvp, 1st wasn't that bad because they was not that much unkillable and annyoing as now along with wardens, necros(not talking about cyro tests ongoing)

PvP

Started off as PvE but it got kind of stale since I've completed most content I wanted to do to.

At the moment, killing players feel more rewarding than killing AIs for me.

If they are ever to get Cyrodiil to work consistently, then my answer would change.

My favorite mmo pvp has been during the old nonveteren campaign. And in the normal campaigns (there used to be more than one) my favorite era was pre Summerset. I know it can be better, because it has been better.

I've occasionally played PvP in Cyrodiil but it's never held my interest for very long so I spend the vast majority of my time playing PvE (including in Cyrodiil, I'm thinking about taking a second character around all the delves and skyshards, since it's been a while since I finished them on my main).

Occasionally, I go to Imperial City but even there I'm pveing like there's no other players waiting around the corner ready to kill me. But those visits are rare now a days since I got the Timbercrow.
