I'm not enthused about Companions except for one simple reason...
If they work like I'm hoping they do, my partner and I will never have to put up with PUGs again -- but we'll still be able to easily get our Random Dailies done without jumping through hoops! Now we can just duo them without using alt accounts or any other LFG finagling! Huzzah!!
I just hope Bastion enjoys sitting in the corner and staring at the wall while my friend and I are off handling business!
Yes!
As a main tank I hope they are good enough to do overland content with in a reasonable pace(atleast 25-30k dps). The game needs dual spec! (I'd be running 18 tanks if there was dual spec)
If companions turn out to be useless, I am going to be more pissed off at the new feature, than I am going to be happy with ZOS even adding them.

Do you plan to use your companion(s)?
I‘m deliberately not adding other poll options, as I just want to know what the general consensus on companions is. I don’t want to hear yes, but... or no, except... answers. Just a simple yes or no. If you’d like to explain your answer, please do so in the comments.
For me it’s a simple no. I hate the idea and I won’t use them (granted, I didn’t even pre order Blackwood, so I can’t use them either), even if they deal 50k DPS or make me immortal. I don’t want to lose the last remnants of challenge in PvE. And I generally hate the idea of (battle) companions in an MMORPG. This feature worked in Star Wars The Old Republic because the entire game was designed with companions in mind. In ESO they will be either broken, useless or just unnecessary as ZOS won’t revamp / re-balance everything before Blackwood to fit companions into old content.
Yes I will be using, but also I'm curious if they will be allowed in dungeons. I'm asumming not because then you could see 4 of the same companion, also disregarding that 4 player dungeons would become 8 player dungeons. lol

I prefer AI companions to live ones because the AI ones stay in character 100% of the time, their schedule perfectly mirrors mine avoiding any and all scheduling concerns, they don't get sick, they don't have irl things to attend to. . . . My magward loves adventuring with her bear and prefers it to other gamers for the same reasons.
I don't really care how much damage they can do and I sure don't care about any 'balance' considerations. Rather, I'm much more interested in things like the fact that they will be able to ride a mount alongside you. If having them along can add a couple more dungeons/WBs to those I can solo that is simply a bonus.
