I've heard magcro lacks in single target damage, but in like group pvp they shine. Thanks for the advice!

Correct. Technically 4 with clanfear but you can only have either scamp or clanfear, not both.

Where does clannfear come from? I may be blind, but I didn't see any skill that summons clannfear.

Unstable Familiar Morph.

My first class was magsorc, but when I tried magcro, I stayed with it forever, his abilities is just so much fun, I'm not much of a PvE guy and I haven't done much of the vet content, but in PvP magcro can hold his own if you build right, I'm usually seeking 1v1 fights and doing pretty good, I'm not at the top, but I'm fine enough to have fun.
And the best thing I like about magcro, is that you can be totally fine with just class abilities.

I play necro because I always play necro, in every MMO that had one. I have a sorc because at relase that was as close as ESO had to a necro.
PVE, I can do about the same DPS on both classes, but sorc has a simpler rotation. Necro brings more to the group, but is not as relaxing to play as sorc. I love tanking/healing more on necro.
PVP, mag sorc is an order of magnitude better than necro. The burst combo is uncomplicated which really suits fast paced combat. Mag sorc is better, imo, than Stamcro. Curse and Frags are reliable. Blastbones is unreliable.

My advice in this regard, Lightning staves are recommended as AoE and Damage over time is the Necromancers Bread and butter since the Rapid Rot passive buffs DoT damage by 15%, they have solid armor penetration and using the spirit guardian morph can make you all the more tanky.
I also recommend using Necrotic potency in conjunction with the Pirate skeleton monster set, primarily because necrotic potency has very good ultimate upkeep (whereas the deaden pain morph doesn’t but makes up for it with Major protection while the heal effect persists.) and the minor defile from Pirate skeleton also triggers Curative curse in the Living death skill line, giving you 8% extra healing done.

Fan fact. I am a necromancer and lightning stuff dealt less damage with heavy attack then fire one on my dummy. Rapid Rot doesn't helped. I stick to fire staffs. Fire staff is best for backbar wall of elements anyway, since skull deals fire damage.
