People do not want you just copy paste them. It is not Perfect World like game - so I really like that there is no such function.

I want all my character data by private !

But i always do not see problem to tell what motifs or style i use ... .

But it do not change that i want all it be private !

May be i would not like to say it to somebody

Same idea, why would I want someone browse through my gear setup and other stuff without asking me first?

    You will not know that.
Let's be extremely precise in our use of terms.

In the end the average ESO player is doing less than they should in the group, have less then avg quality gear for the content they are getting into

Yes! The only thing you don't mention is that, for the bulk of the content in the game, which is very likely to be where the "average ESO player" will be found, they are still able to complete that content. They may take longer to do it, and they might die a little more, but they can get the content done.

In most mmos you can see how the group members are performing. In ESO players are wanting to hide their ability.
They want to hide their performance because there are a lot of elitists in this game that try to gatekeep players on content. These elitists think that you need to do 40k DPS to do this content and that the tank and healer need to be pushing 20k because:
    1. They don't want to deal with the mechanics of the boss fights. If we DPS them down fast then we can skip mechanics X,Y, Z.
    2. They have ran this dungeon 185493 times and it needs to be done as fast as possible. It will take 2.3 minutes longer with your DPS.
    3. There is no reason why you shouldn't be doing 40k dps right now. You are CP XXX and doing this content.
In most mmos you can see other peoples gear. In ESO the players are wanting to hide their gear or lack of gear.
    1. That is not the correct set for your character. You should be wearing sets X and Y. You need to go to Alcast and look up what sets to properly wear for your character.
    2. All purple gear? GTFO scrub.
    3. Four different sets?!?! L2P, loser!
In most mmos you can see what loot other people get. In ESO the players want to hide their loot even if they dont want to keep it.
"Hey, i see you got X. Can i have it?"
    No reply
" If you don't need it, i could really use it i can trade other drops for it."
    " No"
"Aww cmon' man. I have ran this dungeon like 100 times."
"No, i need it for another character"
" Yeah but your not playing that character right now and you have more than one. This is my only character and i am trying to get geared to run with my guild"
" I said no. Go away or i am going to put you on ignore"
    " Well, you can *&@#& &(#*$ &#*# you piece of *$&#, I hope you *$&#*(@# and (#*#(# a miserable *##(#* death!"

You may think i am exaggerating but this game harbors some of the most toxic people that i have ever met in a video game. They are a minority overall, but they make up for it by being 10x the *** of toxic players in other communities. Why do i want to give them more weapons to use against nice people i would want to play with?

You will run into bad behaviour when you play with other people. Imo it does not mean we should miss out on features.

Its not a feature if causes bad behavior. There is no reason to implement such changes in this game. The negatives greatly outweigh the positives. The devs are actively taking steps to reduce the toxicity in group content. Why would anyone that has been here more than 5 minutes want them to implement changes that increase the toxicity we are trying to get rid of?

Ofc this is bad for the game. The people hurt most are the low level tank and healer. They have very little farmed gear.

Instead zos should add a built-in dps meter. So these low level tank and healer can use the info as important argument to not get blamed.

the creative medium that is ESO provides a unique feel to the individual. as opposed to other mmo's with 2-3 sets that are in your level range, ESO offers every set within level range. your build is YOURS to have. and i feel an inspection feature would rob the player of their hard earned builds.

think about it. with soo many sets it's hard to pinpoint the PERFECT set up. (perfect in itself opinionated)

what took one possibly hundreds of hours of theory crafting, would you want some dude to just walk up and take it? of course not!

in ESO your build defines you. it shows your effort, your skill in the craft wether its pvp or pve. personal builds are a if not THE major feature of ESO.

builds are personal here, some like to share,granted.. and arguably you too might say "oh ill share". but if you;re willign to share that tells me you havnt truly made a build that makes you feel like..well.. YOU. nobody would ever give up their personal build, it's a precious thing in eso.

it's soo precious people use it as a means to get youtube views... nobody shares them freely in one way or another. it's for fame or claim.

This isn't WoW, this is ESO. I bet more people don't like that feature then do. It creates judgmental toxicity in a game. This game is not gear centric like WoW where content is gated by what gear you have. WoW chose to make their harder content inaccessible to most of their player base using gear.

I took a break from ESO for a few months, and spent some time in WoW to see older xpacs, and see what was up. The toxicity and discrimination, based around gear, RIO, and achievements is utterly nauseating. So, while WoW may have set limits on what you can do and where you can go based on your iLvl, the community took it from there and ran with it.

Even worse than being gated from content, is that the community will also use that information to harass you in-game and in the forums. As in, if you make a comment on something, all they have to do is look your character up in the Armory to see your gear, what you have done, etc, and they'll eviscerate you simply because they can. Oh, also, they've gutted their forum and in-game moderation, so the levels of toxicity are even worse because no one stops them.

So, to the OP and other people saying it should be a feature: a hard No from me.
