No. Bad developers are the reason that games are ruined or dont succeed. There are plenty of haters and fanboys for any game and both of them are useless in terms of improving a game. If a developer refuses to change a game due to criticism and only looks at the positive people are saying then thats because they are a bad developer. Its not any different than any manager that cant take constructive criticism to improve their company,

What this forum needs is more active moderation, not fewer posters. No one side in these debates is any less guilty of incivility than the other. Forums are designed to promote debate as well as community, but are only as good as their moderators allow them to be.

Many of these threads could be closed and redirected toward an established one. Uncivil posters can be dealt with in a variety of ways.

To advocate that one side or the other be silenced though is just plain wrong and it's been my observation that those that use the tactic are either unable or unwilling to defend their opinion.
