What if I just don't like the game?

The simple answer... don't play it.

You paid for it already so wait out your free 30 days and go play something else. In a while the game will have matured, content added, bugs fixed and ZOS will probably offer a free month to come back and see all that's changed.

Until then, unless you have some thing of value to add, just take your pointless nerd-rage elsewhere and let us who like this game play this game without your asinine comments and purile insults. No one is forcing you to stay so just. go. away.

Agreed. They do have the right to vent. But I was addressing the baseless, mindless vitriol spewed by people who simply -refuse- to acknowledge or accept the game for what it is. It's an MMO, with all the inherent limitations. It's not a completely polished product because no MMO is at launch. There is 'offering feedback' and then there is venting spleen. The former is productive, the latter is tiresome.

I understand you position, however, they are still within their rights as a consumer.

Best advice I can provide it just to tough it out for a couple weeks and probably more than half the population will drop off and it will be pretty quiet around here.

Sure they do. However they should also realize that the game is what the developers say it is, it's not a lump of clay that they can demand be molded into whatever shape they want.

If you pre-order a game you are taking a chance you might not like it, there's no two ways about it. If 60 bucks means that much to you, then you should have waited for the game to come out so that you could watch videos and read reviews.

Actually, although the beta was not technically an "open" beta, it was widely available to just about anyone. So there's really no much excuse for not knowing what you were spending your money on.

If I sell you a flower pot, you can complain all you want, but if you wanted a tea kettle you should have looked elsewhere. It's not my responsibility to try to adapt the flower pot into a kettle, especially if that means all the people that actually want and paid for a flower pot would get tea kettles.

People are complaining the game isn't exactly like WoW. If it were more like WoW people would be complaining it was too much like WoW.

I haven't seen any legitimate grievances. In my opinion it's absurd to buy something you don't want and then complain it's not what you wanted.

Why is it that if I am enjoying a game and I am not having them same issues some these folks are having I am labeled a fan boy if I disagree with them? I mean that is just weird to me. The people who are demanding things NOW are the ones who look ridiculous. Suggestions in a civil manner are easier to swallow right? I don't get it?

Can you point me to some of this "attacking" that's being done? I see people arguing about what features to add. Some like the suggestions, some don't.. cause people have opinions and all.. but the only real attacking I tend to see is when people starting throwing around the words "fanboy" or "white knight" just because someone actually likes the game as is.

I've seen absolutely zero people "defend this game to absurdity".. which to me would be "this game has no bugs, they don't need to fix the bugs, the bugs are features". When I say bugs.. I mean things in the game that we know are not working as intended.. things not spawning and the like. Features that someone thinks are needed, or were left out, don't fall into the bug category.

I don't really think anyone is a "fanboy" or defending just to defend, or at least not many people are.. there might be someone with some fetish I don't want to know about that just wants to blindly defend somewhere. Anyway! People just want to play a game they like, and if they like something in the game they're gonna argue for it to stay, if they don't like something they're gonna argue for it to change. We all kinda have the same goal, just different opinions on what the goal consists of.

Because I post during the occasional lull ... at work. You know work, dontcha? It's that thing I do 6-10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week, to keep a roof over my head, food in my belly, upgrades in my computer and subscriptions paid. Saving a little bit every month for retirement. You know, being a responsible adult.

And this is far from 'nerd-rage'. I've not screamed or shrieked or called the game broken, claimed it'll be 'F2P' by week's end, or demaned ZOS make it into something they clearly said it wouldn't be or called anyone names for defending it or bashing it. The whole point of this post was to tell those drama queens decrying the end of the world to go peddle their doom and gloom elsewhere.

Well I could puzzle out the rather convoluted path between responsible adult and posting on a gaming forum at work, but maybe that's your job.

However, there are times when I can access forums but not really play games, and there are different things to suit your mood. There are a number of sections to these forums which just contain content directly related to playing the game. I would suggest browsing those rather than the ones specifically attracting numerous complaints, such as the customer service and this general forum (I know it says new players, but there is no general forum section and we're all new players so this is what it has become).

The game has flaws, yes. Some of them aren't flaws, but things I generally dislike insofar as design choices.

I like the other things enough to outweigh my dislikes, and I don't mind subbing up to play.
