Hello, a huge request to the developers to make a general auction among the players on the server. Joining a Guild, paying taxes is all very inconvenient and very repulsive for new players.

Why exactly is this repulsive to new players?

Joining a guild is a great way to learn more about the game, make friends to play with, and generally makes the game more enjoyable.

There are plenty of laid-back guilds out there that don't ask for fees.

Also, guilds that have 50 or more players will have a guild store, even if it's not public-facing via a guild trader. You would be surprised at how much a guild can sell internally.

you mean a real auction where people bid for things?

    no, you don't. no thanks.

in other games I play the term 'Auction House' is rarely literal. Sure, there is a timer when something is placed in the AH, and the Option to just make a bid is present - However there is Always the 'buy it now' at the listed price button, which everyone uses constantly.

Guild traders can sell stuff only... and I think that is where issue is. Imagine if guild trader NPCs could also buy stuff from players. I mean, it could be done very easy, with the use of COD system. If you are in a trading guild, you post an offer - an item, price and amount. Any player visiting trading vendor npc could see that offer and as long they have requested items in their inventory - they can sell it to you.

Imho every player would benefit from something like this. Big guild, small guilds, solo players... everyone.

we have our own small guild where we play with friends, and we do not want to recruit 50 people or join other guilds, but then we cannot trade with other players, these are very stupid restrictions

You can join up to five guilds per account. Without hurting your private guild you can also join one with a trader.

It does not actually have to be a “trade” guild.

I am in a housing guild, no dues, that has a trader for example.

They did. Might not be in a way you like but there is no way ZoS isn't aware of how players feel about the economy both good and bad.

And for the OP it is simple to join a trade guild. Many have no dues at all and some with decent locations have a low weekly requirement for dues.

There could be some quality of life changes to the system we have now but for the most part it works well.

That isn't a problem with the game that is a choice you have made. For a long time I didn't want to join a PvP guild but was frustrated I could never get in a decent group in Cyrodiil. Eventually a player in my social guild talked me into joining a PvP guild they were in. Problem solved.

Same could happen for you. You just need to decide do you want to take advantage of the trading system in place or not.

except that each and every poll gave a majority to the present system.

So, no issues to tackle at all.

    That's wonderful!

But as others have pointed out, you can join up to 5 guilds in this game.

I have an English social guild, which is my main guild, a French social guild, a PvP guild and two trading guild. All filled with lovely people.

I agree, but you're not going to find much sympathy here. Wasn't long ago that most decent trade guilds on my platform required dues (and many still do) which is also not convenient or friendly to new players. Even now, as a not-new player, schlepping around from trader to trader trying to find crap is beyond very inconvenient... it's frustrating and a massive waste of time with all the load screens. The system has a lot of room for improvement and a centralized trading system would be a huge improvement customer-side.

Except the part where a couple of players could control the market on rare items if they wished. That wouldn't be good.

The current system sure does need some improvements like more traders in central locations, larger guilds to allow more players access to the good spots, potentially remove traders in the completely out of the way spots so items aren’t lost in the wild, improved UI for search. A bulletin board in each zone that searches all traders in zone so you can find rare items quicker (can’t buy but it locates the trader for you).

But the guild trader system is fun for those involved on the whole and a welcome change to the boring AH style systems.

Instead of more traders in the central spots I think we need more traders in the out of the way spots. Those lone traders near wayshrines and in thieves dens should have a 2nd trader on sight. That would help.
No need for allowing larger guilds. Most trade guilds are not filled now. Plenty of trade guilds that get a spot every week are advertising for new members. If you can't find a good guild that is on you.
I've been suggesting a bulletin board in each zone that would list items and where they are located in that zone. No prices would be shown though. That way people looking for bargains still have to visit each trader and people just wanting something quick can go to the most convenient to them.
