The Harborage - Cut The Lecture, Please!

Does anyone else feel that the first Harborage quest - henceforth termed "The Lecturage" - should have the option of being skipped after doing it once on another character (like the tutorial)? I've got several characters and each time I make one, I feel like going through this portion of the quest is completely unnecessary after you've seen it once. You don't actually do anything but listen to the story (which was very interesting the first 2 times that I saw it, but after my eighth or ninth time...).

Just curious to hear other people's opinions.

If a lot of other problems in the game that impact play were cleared up something like this would be worth looking at. The way things are right now though... I'll just eat some chips and watch YouTube on my second monitor while I wait for The Lecturage to finish.

I chose him as my sacrifice in hopes that didn't have to listen to his long monologues anymore.

I bet you were in the P beta. :)

I know the feeling of doing that sucker over and over. Honestly, I run to each spot and start going over my character, see where i will put my next few points, bla bla bla.

Making players repeat crap like that in this game is just one little nail in the ESO coffin. :)

I always really enjoy that bit (I have several characters).

Perhaps as it seems people don't like a story, they should just have a button at character creation that allows you to skip the entirety of all questlines and set you at VR10 without anyone having to sit through any 'boring' story bits, cutscenes, dialogue, and without having to do any pesky quests. (sarcasm).

I don't mind it, it gets you a bit of gold to start out with... what I 'do' mind is having to reset my keybindings per character... "those" could have been account-wide if you ask me :)
The statement "if you put enough monkeys behind enough typewriters... sooner or later one will produce the works of Shakespeare" has sadly been proven utterly wrong by the internet...

I don't mind the story, I actually enjoyed it and Varen as a character despite how easily he is to mock, however if the cutscene displeases someone after having watched it once, it seems asinine to deny them the option of being able to skip it.

I enjoyed the Harborage lecture greatly the first time I went through it. The next seven times... Well, let's just say my interest in it diminished rapidly. Of course, now all 8 of my toons have been through it, so theoretically I should never have to see it again.

I've been through that quest several times now. I nearly fall asleep during it.
