Any chance weaving will go away at some point?

Maybe the combat team could support or overlook players using macros in cases where weaving is impossible due to a player's physical limitations. I'm sure they probably do anyway, but some sort of public acknowledgement and support would let players with disabilities they could do it.

If they did that then simply taking a multibutton programmable gaming mouse and adding a light attack at the end of every skill at the appropriate amount of milliseconds would solve this issue. Everyone can weave like a pro and bring "the floor" up without hurting the ceiling.

This might get some hate but the way i learned weaving was following a heart beat at 60 BPM. Think about the BUM BUM of a heart, first Bum is light attack, second Bum is ability. With the GCD most abilities are on 1 second so the better you get with the rhythm the faster the gap between LA and Ability will be and now it just feels natural to add the light attack before every skill.

I hope this helps. You can still do vet trials with lower dps with the right mix of people but hard modes and score pushing might be out of reach.

You're used to playing traditional Tab Target Combat MMORPGs. ESO is not this at all. It has the ability to tab target, but you still have to manually click to light/heavy attack between abilities. While I appreciate your struggle adjusting to ESO's combat, many of us migrated from other Tab Target based MMORPGs and came to ESO specifically because you have to manually aim and manually fire, so we certainly want to keep it that way.

I also thought of this since my previous post. Heartbeat is about correct cadence for weaving (lag sometimes messes you up though).

I generally only play MMO's, mostly because I enjoy the genre, but also because I do not have the twitch skills to play FPS's and other types of games that require lightning millisecond reflex's or force you to complete 2-4 perfectly timed actions per second in order to be competitive and complete high end content. I have high/top end raided in most other MMO's I have played over the past 22 years, but ESO is the first in my experience to require twitch gaming skills, in order to be able to pull competitive DPS, which is basically ruining my game, since I have done everything but Vet DLC trials and would very much like to.

Also, I feel it isn't really fair that an entire group of players be gated from content for any number of reasons beyond their control. Some of us are older, some much older, some have disabilities, poor eyesight, maybe tunnel vision (inability to process your entire screen at once) and the list goes on. ESO seems to be highly prejudice against this part of their player base and doesn't really offer any sort of options to help with this issue. And no, upping the base DPS for people that simply spam light attacks is not a solution. I personally have practiced my rotations for over a year now and have come to the conclusion that I will never be able to do the sort of DPS needed to pull my own weight for one or more of the reasons stated above, I am just physically incapable of keeping up a rotation with LA weaving involved. A rotation yes no problem... 2-4 perfectly timed inputs per second, not so much.

So, any chance it will go away at some point?

I know it can be hard for some people but sayings it’s not fair can be said for the other players because they have removed so much from combat and counter play to make the game more easy which to a lot of players has made the game stale and boring because fun and thoughtful actions have been removed because players have complained it’s to hard.
A big part of it is the games lvl it doesn’t teach you the game mechanics at all. I have played with max cp players who can’t pull 8k dps and not all ther fault since they never had to learn how to play to progress most dungeons don’t need to do much but light attacks even some get dungeons can get away with that. So the game questing needs to teach more

Treat it like a rhythm game, not a twitch skill.

Changing my thinking really helped my learn it. Don't try to 'cancel' the light attack -- just start a light attack and then press a skill a moment later.

Mouse and keyboard: Left click, tiny pause, keyboard press. Left click, tiny pause, keyboard press. The left click leads, the keyboard responds.

You can also try tanking and healing. Those roles don't expect nearly so much damage. If a tank doesn't weave, it's unlikely anyone even notices since they do like 5% group damage on a good day.

^ if you're trying to do it and it feels like a fast-twitch endeavor, you're doing it wrong. I was doing that at first and would actually get super jumpy in real life because it felt like my weaving was always on the verge of falling apart (and it was).

What I recommend doing is watching a video of the pros parsing, but slow it down to 75% speed, then shoot for that. I was trying to match their speed at first because I thought that would be the most effective way to increase my DPS, but as soon as I slowed their videos down and worked to match that myself, my DPS shot up and everything was a LOT less stressful. It should feel fluid and, as weird as this sounds, you always want to feel in control of your rotation.

It can definitely be frustrating at first, and there's a learning curve, but even slow weaving is incredibly effective. I find ESO's combat system to be quite enjoyable, especially after trying SW-TOR for a while.

    Nope.

Personally I would not mind seeing it go, because with the lag I experience, this plays havoc with trying to light attack weave effectively, far too often. The difference between my parses when I have my normal, lagy connection, compared to the rare times I have a good connection, is many thousands of dps.

Dungeons and trials have multiple difficulty levels specifically so everyone can experience them.
Btw if you have issues with weaving there are heavy attack builds out there with very easy rotations that rely on well heavy attacking a lot, which is just holding down left click.
I cleared vet Vateshran hollows and did spirit slayer on my 2nd try with a heavy attack magplar build and it was an absolute cakewalk, and it wasn't even fully optimized for dmg.

Only vet dungeons drop monster helms, which forces everyone into vet content for no reason (or you can wait for eternity to see needed set appearing at golden vendor like I do). Why is it not like Arena weapons? Run normal dungeon, get normal helm. Run vet one, get perfected helm. xd
Let's be extremely precise in our use of terms.
