I like the green tree's passives--I think they really hit the mark on what CP should be, if going for ''unique ways to specialize your character''--but yeah considering most people have a crafter/fisher/etc all together, I can see how it's annoying with the 4 slottables at a time thing.
Funnily enough my crafter, fisher, and thief are all separate characters xd

Agreed, the green tree is absolutely not a player friendly change.

All I will say on the matter is that I'm very glad I did the lore book grind on my new alt Sunday because I would have been piiiiiiisssseeed to log in and find out about rapid manoeuvres otherwise.

@Vermintide Read the bolded part here:
    Alliance War
    Assault
Continuous Attacks: This passive now always grants Major Gallop when purchased at rank 1 or 2. Note that you do not need to be in Cyrodiil to gain this effect! This means once you purchase the passive at any rank, you will always have Major Gallop active on you regardless of where you are.
    Rapid Maneuvers:
This ability and its morphs no longer grant Major Gallop on cast since it is no longer necessary.
Reduced the cost of this ability to 6426, down from 6885.
Fixed an issue where casting this ability's morphs would fail on nearby innocents if the setting "Prevent Attacking Innocents" was turned on.

What about this do you think is bad? There's a lot of things worth complaining about in this patch, I don't know why you would complain about this change tho.

I don't like the change as it means Major Gallop is on all of the time and there are times I don't want to go extra fast. At least with Rapid Maneuvers I had the choice as to when I wanted to go super fast or not.

Valid, but you do have an option for going slower. It's called walking.

Major Gallop has been moved to the passive "continuous attack" under the assault line.
All you have to do to unlock it is enter Cyrodiil and put a skill point in it.

Ah. Well it's sure nice to know about these things eh ;)

@ the other guy: I don't think any part of it is bad if it's been moved to a passive, in fact that's an unquestionable improvement. I had just mistakenly assumed they removed it in order to make room for the mount speed CP star.

True but there are also a lot of enjoyable speeds between a tortoise and cheetah.

Ring of the Wild Hunt gives quite a speed boost and just the new CP Steed felt quite fleet without any additional bonuses beyond medium armor. One of those or another gear option might be ideal for you or don’t take the Major Gallop passive but instead try some degree of the new Mount Speed CP.

The movement speed boosts are some of the few in the constellation that seem reasonable to me to have slottable instead of passive.

I also think the Green tree has too many slottable stars and not enough actual passives for related activities.

If I am out adventuring and doing dailies and whatnot I would want Master Gatherer, Plentiful Harvest, Treasure Hunter, Homemaker (what I currently have slotted lol) and the speed boosts. At this point I choose to be slower.

Also, it would be great to have fishing active WITH the above because while going between fishing holes there are nodes and possibly chests and urns/backpacks which could have a furnishing plan...

I still haven't fully invested in my Green tree because I am not sure how I am going to manage the swapping. I just KNOW I will end up forgetting Meticulous Disassembly and refine things (and what is the point of having 50 points in it if I forget to use it?)

I think the Inspiration star should be one of those sticking out on its own, sort of like Breakfall, but with nothing after it.

For thieving, I really dislike that both "entries" into that area of the cloak are related to bounty and heat and getting caught by guards - a good thief doesn't get caught and has a zillion bounty edicts when a pesky npc turns around at the wrong time! I would love to be able to access the pickpocket and fence value stars without resigning myself to taking a star I will not slot because they aren't useful to me. I haven't played around with Shadowstrike at all yet, so it sounds neat but not sure of its functionality to me.

    TL:DR

    Green tree changes:

Best: make everything a passive and ditch the idea of slottables for the tree (I can dream!)

Good: make more stars passive, especially slottables that go hand in hand with diverse activity.

Meticulous Disassembly needs to be a passive.

Inspiration Boost: move this star so it is sticking off one of the starter stars all by its lonesome. Players leveling crafting skills can get it easily and those who are at max can avoid it easily!
