I've used Excel spreadsheets since I started playing CRPGs in the mid 80s. I'm a retired office manager/bookkeeper, and using spreadsheets is something I've done since the mid 60s (yes - I AM that old).

It's an easy way to see an overview of one's characters and so on.

I'm so looking forward to the update! Our heroes will be remade, time to make new builds too! Why stick to the old ways? They probably won't perform that well in the new patch anyway. Time to pave a new way and be creative!

I'm going to do exactly what your post title says, OP: dismantle all toons and only re-assemble maybe one or two. I have a number of alt accounts, and with the help of the lackluster March log-in rewards, I expect they'll get kicked from guilds and gather dust.

I have only one really high powered character - has done every non-repeatable quest in the game (including every DLC and chapter), most of the dungeons (on normal at least) for their skill points, all the public dungeons, every skyshard, and level 18 in alliance-war. 715 CPs. The only "missing" skill points are 3 dungeons (Stone Garden, Mazzatun, Cradle) and the last 32 levels of pvp. He has also spent all his CPs.

My second toon is level 50, but in questing terms she's two thirds of the way through Stormhaven as a DC character, has gained 1 skill point each from Thieves and Dark Brotherhood, and done about three group dungeons and two public dungeons, and did enough Alliance War to get Rapid Maneuver just by zerging along with groups capturing keeps. She is the only other one that has spent her CPs.

My third highest character is level 29 and has done nothing but crafting writs, dolmens, the New Life and Witches festivals, the original "Soul Shriven in Coldharbour" prologue (after skipping the current one in Greymoor) and Bleakrock Isle.

Others are lower still (from 11 to 24), and by and large haven't even spent all the skill points they've levelled up to get.

So I guess only the first one is going to be really difficult to re-spec.

Recovering from this update is going to be a monumental task for me, and I'm not going to do it all in one go. It's going to take me weeks, if not months to get round to rebuilding my 18 characters. Each has 64 attribute points, 300+ skill points and now 1640 CP that will need putting (back) in place.

There's no chance I'm going to remember all my toons' current set-ups, especially the ones I don't play very often. So, I'm going to spend some time tomorrow screen shotting their bars and some skill point allocations in particular skills.

i have 2 full accounts with 18 each and 2 more accounts with 9 each
so i feel your pain

I'm just glad I don't have all the characters here I have in swtor. Even if I could do 2 a day with testing to see how they work out, it'd still take me two weeks. Here, only a few days.
