Yeah I know, ridiculous at the very least.
Atm I'm just missing the lead from Mtharnaz delve on PS4 EU. I already killed the delve's boss at least 30 times (one attempt 20 times + 10 times on another attempt) and still no lead dropped... I haven't bothered myself to get it for months now...

I have a guildie who ran DS2 over 150+ times, and still did not get the lead. He put in a ticket, but afaik, still does not have the mount due to that one piece.

I the only one I had problems with was the delve in Alik'r.

I am stuck trying to get the lead from Mtharnaz. I can't solo the Seamstress, and while I can solo the Brass Hatchling I usually die at least once each battle. Sadly, I can't get people to join me to farm over-and-over-and-over again for the stupid lead.

I've killed the Seamstress (in a group) maybe 2-3 times and the Hatchling solo at least 50. This is starting to wear me down...

I spent hours in Volenfell, too. And on Stros m'kai. And so many damn battlegrounds before I got that Alessia statue. On the other hand I got all of the Cyro leads in less than an hour and the Clockwork fishing lead on my third cast.

Totally agree, its sadly a feature of mmos. Create events and new content to have people re do what they have already done. Opal items anyone?

Mine was pretty much the same.

I had pretty good rng over all. My longest run was Volenfell for about 8 to 10 tries. Most were drops 1 to 5 tries.

The key to farming the ebon wolf parts is batching them together by source of acquisition and shuffling them.
Meaning in order:
One dungeon, requeue immediately
One delve
One overland
A different delve
A different overland
One Dungeon when GroupFinder is up
...loop

I started after I got darkshade2 on a daily random normal on my tank toon. Afterwards, I never tried for one lead drop several times after one another. I shuffled the delves and other locations in by rotation in between the Group Dungeon drops.
I am a member of four guilds on my home server with an average of 500 active players total. So getting around was easy.

Obviously I do not know if it is true for ESO, but I suspect there are higher drop rates if one does not farm in the classic way.
I remember from other Rpgs, where the community came up with a way to extract the coding for the drop chance and drop chance bonuses, that devs sometimes use asymmetrical patterns for drop chance bonuses. That boosts the drop chance for players that do not farm and increases their game experience subtly.

Yes the delves was worst, think I needed to do DS2 5-6 times but had to spend hours in some delves.
Did craglorn group delves for skyshards on an alt with an friend and he got the leads there on first go
