The guards in those dailies suppress the ability to sneak. Is there a way around this? Or what could be set ideas for these quests?
There is usually a hiding basket along the patrol path of the guards with the light circles. You hop in, wait for the circle to pass by, then hop out. By the way, the circle still respects line of sight. So even if you are inside it but with a pillar or something between you, you remain undetected. This is another reason speed in sneak is important. So you can beat them to a safe spot, and so you can maintain pace ahead of them.
On my main, an Imperial Templar (so no racial or class bonuses for sneaking), I use: Night's Silence (5), Darloc Brae (5), and Agility (2). My detect radius is already small enough to run past most NPCs and jog for an unlimited length of time while fully stealthed. If it's good enough to meet every requirement of the hardest Dark Brotherhood sacrements, then it should be good enough with additional bonuses from things like race (e.g. Khajiit).
It's possible there are better combinations if you are playing something like a Khajiit, but I'm a big fan of the 5-piece bonus on Darloc Brae in particular.Sylvermynx wrote: »On my main, an Imperial Templar (so no racial or class bonuses for sneaking), I use: Night's Silence (5), Darloc Brae (5), and Agility (2). Hmm. Might have to try that one.....
Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that part of my own loadout. With three pieces of swift jewelry on top of Darloc Brae, you can sneak around forever at quite a pace -- who needs sprinting?kylewwefan wrote: »I would only add using swift jewelry has helped my thief out a little.
Would these sets be ok for doing scouting missions? I quite like the scouting idea but don't really want to get involved in PVP.

I'm using 5 x Night's Silence, 4 x Darloc Brae and 3 x Night Terror, which makes me pretty damn stealthy and speedy. The only things I miss are the Darloc Brae x 5 'sparkles' as you run along, but I'll cope.
The set up doesn't, however, stop householders psychically seeing me through the backs of their heads, even if I'm using an invisi pot. A thing I still don't really understand, but I'm probably doing it wrong. But the guards never do come despite all the threats and throat slicing action, so I just steal all their s**t anyway.

If you're sneaking around Cyrodiil, I'd go with that
Darkstride is an overland set from Rivenspire, and it's actually quite inexpensive from guild traders.thissocalledflower wrote: »El_Borracho wrote: »You forgot about Darkstride:(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina

Sorry but what's a NE quest?ShawnLaRock wrote: »5 Night Mother’s Embrace

2 of the Darloc should be jewelry - both the Hidden Moon Band which comes with Swift Trait already on it - and is available from an NE quest - which effectively renders the movement speed 5pce bonuses of the other 2 sets mentioned, moot).

On my farming khajit vampire nightblade i use:
5x night moter embrace set (chest/leg/hand/feet/belt)
3x vengeance leech (neck, mainhand, offhand)
1x wild hunt ring (ring)
5x darloc brea (head, shoulder, ring, bow backbar)
when i sneak around i switch to my backbar, so i get the 5/5 bonus from darloc brae
when i start fighting i switch to the mainbar to get the vengeance leech recovery
i run at stage 1 or stage 4 depending on how i am feeling!
