To be fair, I'm a PvP player (multiple Emperor achievements), but I'm very interested in the dyes and furnishings. The titles I couldn't care less about, don't really use them. But to infer that PvP players aren't interested in housing or fashion would be incorrect.
War tortes give exp towards alliance ranks AND alliance skill lines. The wording of the tool tip points towards a increased alliance skill line bonus and NOT a alliance rank exp bonus.
Dont get me wrong... I love it. The grind to rank 50 is painful so this is a welcome feature but I am unsure if it is intended feature since its worded in a way to not point towards a increased gain to alliance ranks.
I am wanting to know if this IS intended or if its NOT intended. So if a ZOS employee can please let me know that would be nice. I dont want to drop 3-5m on tortes in the next MYM event just to find out it was fixed.
Thanks!

We get furnishings?

To add onto our previous update, our team will be working to update the tooltip to ensure that the description is clearer. Thank you for your understanding!

You can buy achievement furnishings at your home base, depending on your rank. Banners, shields, seige weapons in the alliance that your character is in. Been a while since I browsed through them but I think they can be bought for AP.

Except the war tortes aren't affected by double AP. Double AP gives you double Rank Points, whereas torts give you a 50/100/150% boost in Rank Points.
Confusing, isn't it?
Thanks all - I had no idea!
Although the furnishings really are a bring your work home kind of thing...

So it does exist in the game? Did you craft it yourself, or bought from other player? And if bought, how much did it cost?
Bought from another. I know the 50% and 100% recipes. Paid 120k for each one. PC/NA. TTC shows them selling them now for 100k each.
With the amount of writs I do, gold is no issue, just wanted to get the GO achievement
So to be clear on live, they will buff your progress towards GO? They just dont result in helping your campaign leaderboard spot or the AP currency that you actually receive?
This is a very confusing tooltip and not how I understood they worked. I might actually get some of these now. Grats on GO. I just hit 44 and would like to make the push. This would certainly help my motivation.
As others have stated, if these only help you get to alliance rank 10, they are pretty worthless. If they affect skill rank and not campaign leaderboard for emp/rewards, I see no problem with them buffing your personal rank. But clarification would be nice.
I gained over 23 million points towards my alliance rank, but only gained about 9 million AP (which I spent a lot of on wall repair kits for when the PVP was dead, as repairing walls with MYM + Low Pop + Scroll was giving like 700 rank points + per repair )
What I was most surprised about was that it was multiplicative w/ the MYM bonus (and low pop bonus), rather than additive. I would have thought the tortes would multiply the BASE rank points by 1.5 and then add them. But they were multiplying the BASE + MYM bonus by that 1.5 and then adding them.

What about the emperor rank? Did it increase the ranking on the emperor leaderboard?

New Craftable Consumable: Alliance War Skill Boosters
We've introduced a new set of consumables: the Colovian War Torte, the Molten War Torte, and the White-Gold War Torte. These items increase the rate at which you advance your Alliance War Skill Lines by 50%, 100%, or 150%, respectively.
When can you use these?
The War Tortes can be used by any character Level 10 or above.
What do these consumables' boosts do?
The boost applies only towards advancing your Alliance War Skill Lines. They do not help you earn more AP, become Emperor, or gain a place in the Leaderboard.

but it stack as in 150% for taking keeps, resources and killing players. The current 100% don't work for quests but that is minor.Oreyn_Bearclaw wrote: »Would have been nice to know BEFORE the last few double AP events.

We wanted to clarify that War Tortes are intended to increase skill line progress and alliance rank. We hope this clears things up!
