✭✭✭Senche/SabercatsWhile I have my preferences, I often change my mount according to the place I travel to (if I stay for a longer time) - I have so many mounts from giveaways, free crown crates, new chapter releases, etc, after all. So I used a wolf during the Greymoor chapter, and a camel while travelling Elsweyr (I don't think I have a Senche-raht, also riding on some random Khajiit's brother or son seems a bit creepy to me
).

(my Ice Princess Nord Sorc w/event crystal skin finally got me to get a single Indrik, the snow one. But I rarely play her. The various mounts I got from free crown crates have only been pulled out once each, to mount them and say "yeah, looks bad.")0 -

I'm not much of a lore fan, but from what I read they were more reptilian, & the durzog mounts are actually modified through goblin magic in the womb.
Under mount collections I believe ZOS has them under canines though.

That last part was my point... Not talking about lore as almost all mounts are lore fuzzy at best (aside from horses and more normal animals that won't rip your face off)
But the animations are the same as the wolf.Hoping for more playable races1 -
Galen✭✭✭HeavyweightsI like all mount types honestly and am glad for the variety (and my characters do make use of that variety), but I definitely have some preferred ones:- For smoothest animation and ride? Felines, which is what I prefer to use when running around Cyrodiil.
- For personal taste of animals? Canines and Equines. Unfortunately, some animation and/or model issues (for both rider and mount) prevent me from enjoying them as much as I normally would.
- For my overall favorite? I have found that I am really drawn to the Heavyweights, or more accurately, Senche-rahts. There's some awkwardness to them for sure, but the overall look and feel of running around on a Senche-raht while exploring or questing is just plain fun to me.
(Something I like to do is put on the Wraith-of-Crows polymorph (to make my mounts huge) and the Kollopi Essence disguise (to effectively be invisible) to make it seem as though I'm playing a Senche-raht character instead of just riding one. Lack of mounted combat, many dismount triggers, and tons of areas that don't allow mounts prevent this from being truly immersive, but I'll take what I can get!)

Next goes welwa, which, I think has similar animation to cats and is very smooth.
Next are horsies.

✭✭✭✭✭Senche/SabercatsSenche as Khajiit but my tanks run the heavyweight to carry the armor, and they are also Khajiit but they feel less fluid and would not use them in Cyrodil.Grinding just make you go in circles.
