With the new Magic Damage status effect could use a new magic damage enchant? One without magicka or health recovery.
Magic Damage has a chance to apply Overcharged. It deals minor damage and applies Minor Magickasteal for 4 seconds.

We'd need a physical damage enchantment as well to have something else besides Absorb Stamina for the Stam people.

If anything, this change makes Absorb glyphs more valuable. Their damage is almost the same as an elemental glyph, and sustain is looking bad on PTS. Also don’t forget Prismatic, which deals a ton magic damage and now can proc a status effect.

True, but when it comes to the Prismatic Weapon glyph if the target is not undead or a Daedra it won't damage them. Little bit a problem when you're fighting regular people and depending on that proc. Might be safer just to stick with an Absorb glyph >.>

Yep, definitely situational. You wouldn’t want it as your primary weapon.

It would definitely be cool to get a physical/magicka based damage proc that wasn't reduced by like 30% damage, but at the same time.. that would put them above and beyond what the current flame, shock, frost, poison, and disease enchants offer.

There would then be arguements about "well physical damage has 2 dedicated enchants, why can't poison have a poison + absorb stamina?"

It's a can of worms that ZOS probably wouldn't want to open when I think the current system works quite well all things considered.

Physical damage + absorb stamina + chance to apply minor fracture with minor damage is in theme for a more utility based damage type. Same goes for magicka.

You can also counter this utility based playstyle of the 2 damage types/enchants by building less into those specific areas of your build. There is obviously less room for variety in pve, where there is a meta that governs 95% of your builds and only raw dps usually matters since sustain and mitigation is trivial within a group.. but in pvp where you can adjust anything about your build to cover exactly what you need, these more utility based damage types can help you cover aspects of your build like sustain or debuffing, that you could then supplement for more damage via a different set, food or glyph choice.

I thought the absorb magic enchant would work perfect with this, you basically double dip in the sustain aspect (enchant proc + minor magicka steal) without sacrificing much damage. If you dont need the sustain I would probably just pick a flame glyph.

I hear mixed things about sustain on the PTS, some say its pretty good because they can run max stat+regen buff food and others seem to have issues with sustain.
