What's the worst gear grind you've ever done in ESO?

For me, it was collecting my Grave Guardian tanking weapons and jewelry from Unhallowed Grave. I must've spent weeks chasing that lightning staff.

✭✭✭False Gods Devotion. A set of the non-perfected version took me close to a month to get bc 90% of the gear in SS that drops for me is Yolo or Nahv or Lokke frost staves. The perfected set actually didn't take as long bc I ran vSS as a backup for a guild that had already run it many times, so no one needed gear and they all have me theirs.
I LOATH Sunspire... Easily my least favorite content in the game. The fights are miserably, tediously repetitive and just incredibly lazily designed. I'm never going there again.3 -

and so I got that SPC and the traits were trash ofc so I ended up wasting all my crystals to change traits on 4 out of 5 pieces of armour
...and a week later I got full Olorime

Tzogvin dagger - two weeks.
Unleashed Terror Maul - one mounth.
Maelstorm Dagger with Sharpened - more than one year, over 400 runs and two buckets of tears. Then it became unnecessary, and even later the release of transmutation.PC/EU1 -

Could be worse. A couple days before the Summerset press embargo, I had a guildie who was golding out his Sunderflame and Night Mother's Gaze gear. I was still under NDA so I couldn't actually say anything about it yet. It was an awkward moment.4 -

That reminds me, probably getting melee weapons for Sanctuary was probably my worst grind. Same basic idea, I've got a DK with Ebon and Sanctuary running. I call them "The Christmas Tree."0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Before they changed the helmet drops to a guaranteed drop every run, they used to be a random drop. It took me 68 + runs to get my first Bloodspawn of any weight to drop. As a stam DK that was the bread to my butter and I needed it and it was my Moby ***. And I, Ishmael.Grand Master Crafter, Beta baby who grew with the game. Lisa✭✭✭Spell Power Cure took FOREVER. I needed the jewelry, so I ran it on vet a lot. Also farmed IC for key fragments to unlock the vault, desperately seeking the SPC frost staff. I never found the frost staff, not sure it actually exists, so my healer runs with two healing staff's instead.Blessed are those who explore the unbeaten path...1 -

Which is why the set collections system *would* be good for players like me except for the fact that I can't earn transmutes through my normal gameplay (which isn't doing a lot of group content). Oh well. Game's fun regardless.4 -

It never dropped, and the grind for it burned me out so much that I stopped playing the game for months. Recently, I got CoA1 as vet random, and I got a sharpened BSW fire staff. I was so stunned that I double triple checked if I actually had it then spent a stupid amount of time just staring at it in my inventory. I no longer have use for it, so ofc it drops now.
Runner ups would be: Master's resto staff, Ebon shock staff, Alkosh shield and 1h, AY 1h axe.0 -
