Like others, I'd love to see a dev pop into this thread just to acknowledge the problem and advise what/if any action we might expect. Beats the heck out of frustration-fueled speculation.

Communication has never been a strong point with them. I would be shocked if they even acknowledged the large amount of public dissatisfaction with this costume.

    Greetings all,

After review we have had to edit or remove several posts for Inappropriate Content. Even though ESO is rated M for Mature by the ESRB for, among other things, Sexual Themes, the ESO Forums have a lower age rating than that of the game. This means that content within ESO is not necessarily permitted on the forums, for example Sexual Theme (i.e. Inappropriate Content).

You are welcome to review the Community Rules here and as it is particularly applicable to this thread the rule for Inappropriate Content is listed below.

Inappropriate Content and Language: Certain topics and subjects are deemed inappropriate and not permitted on the official ESO forums. Things that we consider inappropriate are usually illegal, extremely volatile or violent, obscene, vulgar, or simply inappropriate for an official game forum such as ours. Inappropriate content on the ESO forums includes, but is not limited to the following:
    • Extreme violence
    • Illegal substances and activities
    • Pirated copyright-protected material
    • Pornography and other sexually explicit topics
    • Real-world religion and politics
    • Tasteless, vulgar, or obscene material

Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

This game is already rated 18+, the revealing looks can not ever be an argument (as the examples above already illustrate). Just fix the damned thing already, farming it was horrible enough. :x
The game is rated M by the ESRB in the US. That’s 17+, so minors are an intended audience.
ESRB ratings are also not legally binding, and the TOS specifically allow for legal minors as young as 16 to have accounts in their own names with the permission of a parent or guardian.

16-year-olds might be minors, but are they really affected negatively when they see a tiny bit of leg?! There are enough countries where people that age are allowed to drive cars, vote, join the military... Are these things typical for poor innocent children (although I doubt that even those would be shocked by that costume without that silly diaper)? Also the age of consent is somewhere between 14 and 16 in most countries.

There is an easy solution, fix the costume and no one will be discussing it.

Many feel the deerskin diaper/granny panties are inappropriate...can we get those fixed? :)

They actually "fixed a visual issue" with the Timbercrow Wanderer's costume today.... but it wasn't anything anybody asked for, and it wasn't what the vast majority wanted, either.

ZOS continues to ignore the playerbase, apparently likes us running around in adult diapers!

There's a precedent regarding some armour styles...

Yeah, they change stuff all the time.

They modified the Singing Skald costume after less forum backlash than Timbercrow receives, even after people had paid for it with crowns. And with this being a no cash out of pocket item, you'd think they'd be more willing to actually listen to the community and make improvements.

The Singing Skald didn't match the ad, that's the reason it was granted an exception. ZoS has a no changes policy about costumes after they changed a piece of armor a long time ago and ended up with pitchforks. Now anything that goes to live will always be left the way it is unless there is an objective error like a glitch, or it not matching an advertisement, etc.

The forums are probably 13+ like many American owned websites. 13 is still a kid, lower than the age of consent in most countries.

@Jaraal I know, right? I got very excited when I saw a Timbercrow costume fix. Amazing that they put a bit of attention to this costume while ignoring the elephant in the room. Urg.
