Why I love to visit Summerset Isles

Gorgeous relaxing soundtrack, yet Epic to behold.
Superior Architecture
The most civilized ,organized, intellectually advanced Society their constant thirst for perfection can but only leave random wanderer in awe and splendor
Magnificent Coral Forest
Spectacular nature
The Elegance of High elves, their style, armor.
Vibrant Vivid Eye Candy Landscape as well as their people ,Sea,mountains,Greenery, those trees, Flora&Fauna in general.
The most peaceful region ,least oppressive looking environment,Very simple to navigate and explore compared to most other zones, at least for me
Abyssal Geysers are acceptable, nor have dreaded sound, no Annoyance/Disruption of roaring Dragons, massive chains or Harrowstorms that take half of your screen ruining the setting.
Story Chapter was one the most mind blowing creations and well written too - Part of the Deadric War Story-line.
Even their guards are civil and keep it professional.
From Side quests so far from me they are very diverse and well executed combing investigations, plots, retrievals etc and they never fail to deliver a lot of humor involved
Psijic order- Complexity , mystery and magical aura of stunning Artheum plus Grand Psijic Vila which is possibly one of the best houses out there
Altmer , Do I need to say more one absolutely admires them or cannot stand them. I am forever for the first <3
Sunhold/Alinor are wondrous
Sea Sload creatures added more to mysticism and overall uniqueness, monster design was twisted yet has that abhorrent beauty.
Everything felt right as it should be apart of Main Quest Deadric Plot and story arc in Summerst-Clockwork city tied with Vivec in Vvardenfell is my 2nd favorite ,followed by Season of the Dragon and Dark Heart of Skyrim, also to add why is so special is fact of being not related to your common Dragon,Vampire or Super famous Deadra,. Plenty of features we never saw were introduced for the first time.

Overall it feels super unique along with Clockwork City and Realms of Oblivion in some sort of "detached" outside of Tamriel mainly has to do how different Altmer society is.

Summerset a highly underrated chapter. By Staff of Magnus!

As far as main quests go, Orsinium is probably still the best to me. But I do like Summerset so much that my main character is home based there.

I just wish Sunhold could be restored.

Yep. Auridon and Summerset are the most beautiful locations in the game.

The wolves that attack you and you kill them, they have puppies. Orphan puppies, who will starve to death because you killed their ma and pa :(:(:(

    I stick to roads there.

Yeah, I always felt weird about that too.

Kinda wish they'd have made groups of puppies playing all by themselves down by the stream or something, instead of just obliviously standing there when I accidentally murder valiantly defend myself against their parents right in front of them...

Having puppies and cubs and stuff out in the wild is a nice change, but the way they did it gives me mixed feelings. I just don't hunt or kill those critters anymore. : P

Auridon, the Summerset zone, and the accompanying Artaeum are truly masterpieces indeed. The level of detail, ambience, architecture, music, culture, lore, story, and people are both unique and magnificent, and the zones put me at a sense of peace unlike any other. I'm so glad to see others agree.

    +1 for restoring Sunhold

As for the puppers... What are you on about? If they get hungry, their parents/other mobs are right there!

    Ahem.

On an actual serious note. I fully agree. I feel terrible whenever I kill parents with babies nearby. Makes me wish we could rehome them at the very least... Or resettle them elsewhere in the wild. 😭

To be honest, even just riding through Dominion zones, uplifts my mood by +5

The peak of beauty in Summerset & Auridon, lushy jungles of Valenwood and warm "shimmering sand" of Elsweyr :#

But yeah Summerset has been my main hub since day 1 <3

Alinor truly, has no match in Tamriel

Such a beautiful area in Tamriel. Perfect place for a early morning cup of coffee and a little fishing action.

I'm still saddened by the fact that there are no crafting surveys in Summerset. It's the most beautiful zone in the game by far, and so I am disappointed that we didn't get any excuses to traverse all over it the way we do with other chapter zones.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

You don't need an excuse, I sometimes just ride across just because I can and each time I admire the view at same intensity :)

But yeah add surveys pls :p

When you're having a bad day, a trip to Summerset always helps. It never gets boring to stroll through the picturesque landscape there, even if you don't have any quests to do. The exact opposite to Western Skyrim. Yesterday I went to Western Skyrim to search for resources and realized that without any quests to do it is just boring to run around there. Just empty and additionally that boring music..I guess that I won't be going back anytime soon.

Having said that, Rivenspire is my other favorite location. I still wish for a room in Ravenwatch Castle. Let me have a spare in the basement dammit.

I agree with you on its beauty. I'm desperate for a plot of land (similar to Moon Sugar Meadow) to build a house on in Summerset. It's a shame we're stuck with 2 apartments in a city and a mansion that's too big to decorate, when we have that gorgeous island.

Yes! I want a plot of land in Summerset as well! What gardens I could create!

As to the animals with babies...
I am reluctant to kill wolves or jackals anywhere, whether they have young or not. I usually try to avoid wildlife killing, but if I get attacked, its self-preservation. Gryphons & Indriks are on the 'do-not-kill' list as well.

Summerset Isles (all islands, including Auridon Nd Eyevea) are my favourite zones... I just love being there, it always puts me at ease. Best storylines, best overall design.

Now I do have a problem with their inhabitants though. I started off as a high elf but after playing through all AD and Summerset zones I got so disappointed with their racism, perfectionism, and superiority complex, that I race changed to Imperial.

Very good points, I also love Summerset, and I don't think it's underrated at all. Personally, I think it was the last chapter with a memorable story, despite the not very memorable villain, and had some really good side quests too (I loved the one with Alchemy and her sister, and also the one with the Altmer/Maormer couple). It'd be great to have a small house with a garden in the middle of the zone, or a town house in Lilandril, which I prefer to Alinor, so that we have an excuse to visit the zone more often.

I enjoy the off quests and beauty of summerset but I hate the main quest. It starts off interesting but then gets so full of itself I can barely tolerate playing through it.

I love Summerset too. One of my favorite quests is the artist on the dock at Lillandril, and you have to get her flowers for a pigment she needs. You end up at a little shack on a hill overlooking a secluded cove. It is one of the most beautiful places in the entire game, I wish it was available for housing.

Beauty, to me, is snow capped mountains, frosted pines in thick forrests, and harsh winter in general. But I do understand the appeal to the green-jeweled coasts of summerset.

I agree!! Summerset is stunning, and Artaeum 🤩 the Psijic order is one of my most favourite things about TES, so mysterious and cool! I like high rock and Hammerfell too, the variation in terrain is great! I wish summerset had a bit of snow too, I'm a sucker for winterscapes 😊😊
