Breton Status Effect Passive

With the removal of random status effects from PVE enemies, nearly all of the racial passives were changed to be a flat value of resistance. However Breton’s Spell Resistance still relies on receiving Burning, Concussion or Chilled to get the full value of 4620 (I’m not sure if the new Overcharged status effect activates it, but this wouldn’t occur in PVE anyway).
Maybe Breton should just go back to having a flat value of Spell Resistance. It used to be a flat 3960, which always seemed fairly balanced. I won’t pretend to know the ideal value for balance, but it should probably be somewhere between the current two values of 2310 and 4620. It would make sense for Breton Spell Resistance to exceed Nord’s new 2600 general Spell/Physical, but stay well below Nord’s combined Spell/Frost resistance of 7220. For balance reasons it probably shouldn’t exceed the 4620 that Dark Elves get as Fire Resistance (although maybe not a big deal if Breton ends up more defensive since Dunmer have more damage passives and the flexibility to swap between Magicka and Stamina).

In PVE, I think status effects are going to be very rare, if they exist at all. Looking at this quote from the 6.3.0 patch notes:
“Gaining Resistances for a particular Damage Type no longer grants immunities to its respective Status Effect, and adjusted racial passives that once granted immunities to make up for this loss.
Monsters no longer have a random chance to apply Status Effects such as Burning or Poisoned from their attacks naturally, and will only apply these statuses through intentional means when designed as such.
This adjustment should help lower combat variance in some encounters, where you seemingly take extra damage that is outside of your ability to naturally counteract as against Overchargers who could apply the Concussed status effect, causing you to take more damage from all sources.”
In that context it makes perfect sense that the Dunmer fire resistance and Nord frost resistance were doubled. Argonian and Bosmer resistances were also effectively doubled, by adding another damage type to the list (both Poison and Disease now).
If it was acceptable to keep half of a defensive passive focused solely on PVP then all 4 of these races could’ve kept the original resistance value and the status effect immunity. The intent seems to be making the defensive racial passive relevant in more than just PVP, but one race was seemingly forgotten.3 -

Just like @WrathOfInnos says, status effects were removed from PvE. There are only few exceptions such as Lord Falgravn Poisoned status effect which remains, but all those random status effects proc like Concussion from Lokkestiiz laser, Burning from Assembly General's fire arm and many others were 100% removed.
I'd say that rule of thumb: if you can purge the status effect on live, it has been removed on PTS. Lord Falgravn's Poisoned status effect can't be purged.Edited by Olupajmibanan on February 8, 2021 7:27AM2 -

✭✭✭✭✭I think magic users already have to deal with lots of free spell resistance given to many opponents from several sources. Like Dragonknight and Templar having free (and only) spell resistance just because.
Kind of makes you feel like a fool when light armor gives spell penetration even though most people have quite a lot more spell than physical resistance to begin with. And your supposed main weapon (staff) does not even add spell penetration to your main abilities, whereas physical weapons (mauls, maces) do.
4620 from Breton was ridiculous. I would say a bit more than what Nords give is okay.Auri-El is my lord,
