Something with some Frost and Lightning damage skills would be nice, both are very underused for DPS builds. Warden gets one good frost skill (Winters revenge) and Necro has one (Boneyard) and the Colossus ultimate. For Lightning there are only a few situational Sorcerer skills (Boundless, Flood and Fury) and some pets (Twilight, Familiar, Atronach, and Skeletal Arcanist) which don’t really give the feel that you are controlling these elemental attacks.

Gonna rattle the cage here a bit, it's POSSIBLE. But devs would have to do something like One-Tamriel with the level of overhaul. These are the things I've wanted for over 4.5 years playing ESO now:

1.) Remove the set class-system. Allow players to choose 3 of the original class skill lines when creating a character.
example: Dark Magic + Shadow + Living Death. Expand the morphs to be Stamina or magicka, AND damage or healing/buffing. This will create 4 possible morphs for every ability so we don't keep resetting and changing the morphs to the new meta every year. *This is possible because when 1Tamriel came out, all skillpoints were refunded for players to reapply since major skills and passives were changed.
2.) Choose a star-sign on character creation like classic TES. This is your mundus bonus on top of race bonus. You cannot change it without a crown store token or something. Make race bonuses 2 passives instead of 3. The starsign bonus is the "new" 3rd bonus passive. Stop making races the sole character passive bonus.
3.) Add 1H and spell skill line (I've seen this asked for in this thread and for years in-game chat). multiple destruction morphs: The "Spell hand" of this skill line can be Flame, Frost, Shock. The abilities each have Single target, cone aoe, and targeted ground aoe (ie Skyrim/Oblivion's Fireball, Flames, and Fire Wall spells). Does this eat into some class spells already like DK flames? Yeah. ESO shouldn't have been made an MMO copy-paste template imo. TES was about breaking free and making your "own class" from the plethora of options given to you.
    4.) Add a spears/pole-arm melee skill line.
5.) Put penetration on the character menu.

Stop making classes. They claim that we can be able to become whatever we want for any playstyle. With the current system we are limited to nerfing and redoing the same skills to serve people wanting a "magicka/stamina morph of an old skill, next patch." The system needs to expand options a little bit.

@Syrpynt There's an alternate universe out there where ESO was designed as an actual Elder Scrolls game. We sadly just don't get to live there.

Such a game would have had:
    • Individual skill trees for all of the Schools of Magic and the various martial weapon types as well as all four armor types (Heavy, Medium, Light, Unarmored)
    • The loose class system of the pre-Skyrim TES games (e.g. you have primary skills that you receive bonuses to and perhaps a unique ability/passive but are otherwise completely free to use any or all of the other skill trees)
    • Classic Elder Scrolls Attributes (Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, Endurance, Personality Luck)
    • Star-signs
    • Unique elemental resistances and affinities for all players, NPCs, mobs, and bosses
    • Unique strengths and weaknesses for every martial weapon type (e.g. daggers have less base damage than a sword but attack faster speed and have a higher Critical Chance, etc.)
    • Unique material strengths and weaknesses (e.g. Ebony weapon has a higher base damage but slower attack speed, Malachite armor has lower mitigation but allows for faster movement speed, Silver weapons do double damage against Undead creatures but only half damage against everything else, etc.) that do not correspond to Item Level but instead are tied to item behavior and properties/characteristics
    • More robust handling of Alchemy
    • Spell-crafting

I am probably forgetting something but I would take the above in a heartbeat in an ESO2.

I would fine to pass on a new class if they addressed the bugs and balance of the current ones...at best I wouldn't mind seeing more options on current classes. Possibly a 4th skill line on them to play with, but I could see also adding the balance to problems though.

I would rather have a 3rd morph for some abilities, or cp builds/setup slots for each character (like the outfits).

There is to much never-ending work balancing the existing classes, I don't want more nerfs and big changes to the classes I have already learned how to play.
