I got about half way through and all I've heard is "This game isn't like the other Elder Scrolls games"

    Hint: Because it's not

I don't agree with most of it though.

Agreed. However, the only reason why I made it to the end is because he was talking so fast, I was bound in latency trying to process what he just said. By the time I got all of it down... the video had expired.

    ... about 5 minutes beforehand.
Words contained in posts, at which point I stop reading and will not respond...
Toon / Mana / WoW or any acronym following "In ___" /
Pets (when referring to summoned Daedra) / Any verbiage to express slang (ie, ending in uz,az,..) / Soul Stone
    ... to be continued.

    Now, get off my lawn.

I adore yahtzee - more because he's just over the top cynical than anything. Only agree him about a 10th of the time, but still love his reviews.

Actually amazed he even did ESO - I actually discussed it with the bf the other day. He didn't think he would because it's well established that he hates mmos - so what would be the point?

HA! I love Yahtzee's critics, more amusing than Joe's as well. :P

Funny-as-hell review, but that's what it's there for. If we all can't get together and laugh at something even if we all enjoy it. He raises a few points that make sense, but I can never get behind the "nobody asked for this" angle: I've been asking for this (a TES MMO) since Morrowind (maybe not 100% precisely this but close enough for government work).

I actually feel like Yahtzee kinda likes ESO, but the legs-and-spoons analogy was ever so apt hahaha.

He loved Skyrim for the improvements it made over Oblivion (look up his Skyrim review).

But he does have the Single Player -> MMO thing down...

Yeah all my nerdy elder scrolls/table top friends always said "Why hasn't an elder scrolls MMO been made"

we all seem to enjoy the game, still this "review" was pretty funny I guess.

    I lol'd

Summed up just about what every MMO-hopping veteran is experiencing right now. Most of us have been to WoW and desperately want something new and fresh. Some of us loved Skyrim and, well, are kinda just surprised at all the spoons.

I love yahtzee so much. He's a weekly view for me... Though... This is one time I think he probably got it a little wrong. People are expecting exactly wow and exactly TES from this game. It's both and neither at the same time.

Love it for what it is. A unique MMO!

Yahtzee's whole things is harsh, cynical, criticism. That said, he does pretty much always bring up solid points about a games strengths and weaknesses. Or at least I usually find that I agree with him.
He's a given weekly view for me.

Doesn't make me enjoy the game any less though.

I love Yahtzee :) I don't really take his reviews seriously, but he is funny to watch. It's no secret that he dislikes MMOs though, so no surprise he didn't find ESO enjoyable. He usually picks most games apart anyway (which is a large part of why I like him).

As funny as he sometimes can be, especially with how blunt he does his reviews, I'm not surprised hes tripping over himself again. Really throws off the comedy when he takes jabs in the dark praying he hits a funny bone. Sometimes it works, other times you wonder what he was even doing.

IE; He didn't get past the gathering quest basics on "Monster Hunter" and complained it had no monster hunting. Caused quite an uproar if I remember correctly.
