"beneficial" can only be assessed within a given context & an established metric by which "beneficial" can be measured; such as prosperity, security, or cultural advancement.

i just like sotha sil a lot.

Then its a little awkward that my Nerevarine cut up "his' heart and dumped him in a volcano, isn't it?

The heart of Lorkhan can never be truly destroyed. You simply freed it from the enchantments of Kagrenac.

Akulakhan will return when the time is right...... stronger than before.

They'd probably be better off without deities especially as the tribunal just used them and the supposed good aedra can be a bit meh too I mean Meridia took an interest in them but wasn't she also the one who cursed their entire race just cause of what the tribunal did?

You didn't mention how he's holding the entirety of Vvardenfell's population hostage with Baar Dau in order to keep their love and worship. He has the power to completely destroy the moonlet, but doesn't. In the end he believes, "if they don't love me, they don't deserve to live.", and his belief resulted in a massive crater in the end.

No? The Falmer had to shelter with the Dwemer because they were hard pressed by the Atmorans/Nords.

The Chimer on the other hand united with Dwemer to fight off the Nords, in a brief period of peace. Nerevar and Dumac become friends, Dumac gives Nerevar and Almalexia their swords Trueflame and Hopesfire for the wedding, etc. Unfortunately mutual distrust eventually breaks down the alliance and they go back to war.

The Chimer seem to have been battling the Dwemer strongholds at Red Mountain when Kagrenac did *whatever he did* with the Heart of Lorkhan and thus ended the war by making the Dwemer disappear.

At the time, the Tribunal were Nerevar's council and leaders in their own right. But it wasn't until they used the Heart of Lorkhan and the Tools over Nerevar's dead body objections that they gained their divine powers, and then proclaimed themselves as the gods of the Dunmer.

(Depending on which source(s) you believe, its left pretty open-ended if the Tribunal murdered Nerevar to get at the Tools or if he died after fighting Dagoth Ur, but it seems fairly clear that Nerevar objected to using the Tools.)

My Dark elf parties with Uncle Sheo. That is religion enough for me.

Also, Vivec is a tool. He doesnt know it yet, but his soul will be sitting on my desk in Balmora (trapped in Azura's Star) in a few thousand years.

The Tribunal (Vivec, Almelexia and Sotha Sil)
The Dunmer have always been the victims of Daedric meddling.

Daedric meddling sundered the Et'Ada from their divinity. Then Boethiah's meddling sent them across the world as the Chimer. When they Daedra left them high and dry and about to be wiped out by the Dwemer, the Tribunal took the bull by the horns and used the Heart of Lorkhan to save themselves and better their people. Then, Azura meddled again, out of pure spite.

I know that Dunmer society has MAJOR problems in the ethics department, particularly around slavery, but - whatever you can say about the Tribunal - they DO care about the Dunmer. Unlike the Daedra, who see them as nothing more than playthings to be discarded at a whim.

Nerevar doing that to the Dwemer though was with the aid of his council, they saved the Dunmer where the daedra would have let them perish...probably like the daedra did so much for the snow elves

The Falmer seem to have worshipped Auriel, who also did nothing for them.

I don't see your argument that the Tribunal's pre-godhood advice to Nerevar saved the Chimer from the Dwemer. Unlike the Falmer, the Chimer kingdom of Resdayn was strong and united against the Dwemer and the Nords, not broken refugees seeking sanctuary from the Atmoran purge. In large part, the Chimer opposed the Dwemer because they worshipped the Three Good Daedra while the Dwemer were atheists. So when the Tribunal counsels Nerevar to fight Dumac, they are pointing to that reverence for the Three Good Daedra who taught their ancestors to be Chimer rather than Altmer. The irreverent Dwemer are dangerous, not just because of their technology, but because they lack the caution that a devout Chimer has when dealing with things both Daedric and Aedric.

In short, the Tribunal wasn't saying anything new - the Chimer had already been fighting the Dwemer before the brief peace over the war with the Nords. The Tribunal didn't do anything particularly special prior to using the Heart either, save for advising Nerevar to fight despite his friendship. Moreover, it turns out that the Tribunal also lack the caution that a devout Chimer should have when dealing with things Aedric and Daedric. On the upside, it makes them gods for a while. On the downside, Sotha Sil's Clockwork City becomes an abandoned death trap, Almalexia murders her friends and loyal followers as she goes mad from losing her powers, and Vivec, well, his hubris singlehandedly destroys his beloved Vvardenfell and the city named for him.

Meanwhile, by TES V, the Three Good Daedra are once again worshipped as the Reclamations. So while 2nd Era Dunmer who don't know what the Tribunal did plausibly believe that they are extremely beneficial, the 4th Era Dunmer have the perspective of the Tribunal's fall and thus reject their Godhood, respecting them only as a part of the Reclamations.

The most beneficial in ESO's time is the Tribunal. The most beneficial across the entire timeline is the three good Daedra simply because you don't want to get on their bad side but the Aedra hardly care if you don't worship them, they won't retaliate.

This. It all depends on certain age, certain period of the Dunmeri history, OP. Moreover, asking "What religion is the most beneficial for the Dark Elves?" you have to specify what group of Dark Elves do you mean. House nobles? Ashlanders? Peasants? Or maybe Almsivi? Religion is a certain tool of statecraft, it's only purpose is to organize masses and keep them at bay in dark times. And it certainly changes according to the changes in economy and society. So, I suppose, a better specification is needed in your question.
