Companions is a nice idea for casual players, but from what I have seen so far, we only get a couple of NPCs which are predefined.
How about having alts as companions in the future? Or allowing a friend to have one of our chars as a companion when we are offline?

When I consider that you don't have many different dialogue choices in ESO, that dialogues mostly do not change if you are, for example, a vampire, and all that... Also, companions having "different likes and dislikes" and a disposition bar could be complex

Even the most recent content has the world utterly disregarding things about your character (Fennorian doesn't want to enter the Temple of Meridia because he's a vampire, but doesn't mention that I am equally vampiric and I can't mention it either), so unfortunately I imagine the companions will be much in line with that.
