pve players in pvp need to stop insulting pvp players.

I agree 100% that if a PVE player goes into a PVP zone, they should expect to get attacked if found.

However there are some PVPers that purposely go to the towns and prey on PVEers on purpose.

I understand if you're there to flip the town and an enemy player comes in, but to just sit there to farm, terrorize and make them miserable on purpose is IMO a despicable practice employed by petty players with small egos that need to torture kittens to make themselves feel better about themselves.

These same players will complain the next week that PVP is dying because the population is dwindling and wonder why.

Granted no matter what you do, some players will never like PVP but there are plenty of examples of players that tried it out, got interested and eventually liked going out there. First impressions matter and if your first impression is to be relentlessly terrorized, your mind will never be changed.

I'm not being funny, but mid year mayhem seems to be the event drags a lot of toxic pve players in to pvp who then resort to insults and bullying just cos they don't like pvp.

    Lets also be honest.

    Toxicity occurs on both sides.

PvEers call PvPers no lifers, basement dwellers etc

PvPers call PvEers care bears, cry babies, etc

    Both sides are at fault

Here is the reason WHY, that's the only answer you need.

Well you get insulted because in fact ... to those who insult you its truth and not an insult.

Most of the hardcore PVE players that play here (believe it or not, only those are aware and figured out how to send you a whisper and insult you), are actually PVP players from different games that actually takes skill.

The extreme difficulty PVE here attracts them same as it attracts me.

The PVP scene in our eyes in this game is simply a joke and literally take no skill, its the same as going as a level 100 and ganking level 20s.

You are all playing endless dodge roll/ultra speed untouchable/god mode builds with that hilarious block spam and call it skill, which in fact is not.

If it takes you 5 to 6 hits at best (mostly 2 or 3) to kill me, but for me over 40 to kill you, that's mean the game is broken, regardless of what special gear combination you figured out, in fact, those gear sets are more in the area of exploits or smart use of the mechanics than skill.

So to sum it up, you don't have even half the skill of the grand majority of the people who insult you, yet they get mad because they know it and you abuse your exploits, and keep bully them without them being able to do anything about it nor stop you from the lack of balance.

I honestly TRIED SO HARD to enjoy the joke PVP in this game, its simply not fun, even more not fun is being a god mode un-killable by nothing, except of course of wannabes like you, who abuse their power and one shotting people who are not. Same as going to kindergarten and showing off to babies your size.

But yeah, I wouldn't blame you for that, its ZoS who allows you to abuse it and its their fault they still haven't fixed those very simple PVP issues.

Honestly the first thing I would do is make block cost 6 times more stamina in PVP to make those spam blockers go away, and make them block block only when they actually have to with no other choice, just like PVE.

Anyway, like it or not, agree with me or not, troll me or not.

This is the truth and that's the reason why, that's what those who insult you think and this is their mind set.

Personally, as one of them, I totally agree with them and think its truth.

I've seen particular members of both "sides" being unfriendly here. The most absurd thing is a few getting extremely agitated for being insulted - and then throwing insults at everyone from the other "side" as well. No self-reflection, I guess. That's child's play, no real discussion.

I guess it would already help not to see this as a conflict between two factions, but as many different people with a multitude of different opinions and interests. That's the point, actually: Interests and opinions should be discussed, not people.

Just let PVE players do their PVE quests in that damned place called Cyrodiil. That quests are quick, so PVE players will not be bothering you for long.

Guess how many Cyrodiil dailies I did since event started? ZERO!

I play in high houres because of my job. So first I try to get itno Cyrodiil. It takes about 1,5 hours. And why I do it? Just to be killed again and again by A CROWD of you, nice, polite, friendly PVP players.

"pve'ers proclaiming you sexually assaulted someone for teabagging." - No one said that. No one. Maybe you should read properly. One user just wrote that they see the same spirit behind teabagging and rl forms of similar behaviour towards "inferiors": It's somone trying to show dominance.

I think it's a possible explanation in some cases. If you don't - fine with me. No need for angry "You shouldn't play ESO!!!!!" messages. It's not your business what I'm doing here, btw.

Agreed. I think the vast majority of PVPers are good folks who enjoy a particular kind of challenge. I can even see the appeal of a lot of the overland Cyrodiil gameplay, even if it's usually not my personal cup of tea.

But you know, and I know, and we all know, that the criticism is directed at a very specific and small subset of toxic players. This has been explained ad nauseam for many years now.

If someone is taking that discussion personally, then it's either because your reading comprehension skills are lacking and you don't understand that it doesn't apply to you... or you know good and well that it does apply to you because you know you've been behaving in ways that other people find annoying or even grotesque.

You know, we all have freedom of choice: you can play the game however you like, and if you want to teabag people, stalk them, grief questers at quest points, etc., then you absolutely have wide latitude to do those things. (Wide, but not unlimited.) You just have to accept that there are a lot of people who are going to see you doing that and we have the freedom to make our own judgments about what kind of person and player that makes you.

As one who despises PVP, yet always enjoyed the non-vet sub 50 no CP campaigns, I think we have to blame the game, and not the players.

For my part, I might erringly disparage my PVP brethren because of the nerfs we've had to suffer in PVE because of the salty tear filled complaints of PVPers, that forces ZOS to overcompensate in balance.

Balance PVP and PVE entirely separately and we can all get along :)

I understand. Pvp is very frustrating and enraging for pve players who usually spend their time working peacefully alongside other players rather than hunting them down. You can blame zos for having these events in the first place. I'm okay with there being pvp events as they can be fun and rewarding for pvp players but when you attach things like event tickets to them then it forces people into the situations where they are relentlessly hunted down when all they want to do are a few quests for tickets. It's like telling a business major that he has to work as a auto mechanic for a week in order to get his business degree. Oil and water don't mix

I've beat plenty of pvpers on a pve build oddly and it usually follows with hate whispers from them. PVPers seem to like to think they're unbeatable but they're not having an ego and thinking they are is the problem. It seems like a lot of pvpers think they're better than pvers and act like they are.

I've seen a lot of decent sets/skills get nerfed over the years because a lot of people in Cyrodiil rage over getting killed by something they themselves don't use, and the upcoming nerfs to crit mark one of the rare instances of pve getting something nerfed instead of pvp begging and shouting for nerfs until zos does it. Remember when zos was gonna put a cast time on damage shields because of sensitive pvpers? I can see why they take out that anger by tea-bagging after zerging 1 or 2 people down with a group of 12+ people. I'm just glad some of them convert their ap into gold to put in pvers pockets by buying skin/personality runs from dungeons/trials once in a while. 11 trial runners splitting 3.5 million gold from a 5-star buying a vAS+2 run that takes us like 10 minutes feels good.

I can asure u, almost non of nerfs have heppends becouse of of vet pvp players. I play pvp since betta and have been mostly part of big pvp guilds that consist mostly pure pvpers and majority of then 100% dont sit in forums and complain. We always just addapt to any OP nonsens that happens after every DLC. That's hownit is and it will never change. PVE comes first and pure pvp players know that. People who ask for nerfs here in forum are same PVE players that sit in cyrodill with their shields up, 40k health and proc sets. They wear redicilously boring meta sets and still complain that someone manage to kill them in their invincible build.

Yes...it's totally the pvers complaining to nerf sets..cause of pvp...makes total sense...or maybe just maybe it's the pvpers...I mean do you lot even hear yourselves? (Oh no couldn't be the pvpers complaining about how gear effects pvp must be the pvers damn those filthy peasants) seems like pvpers like to blame everything in pvers because they don't like to admit it's the pvp side complaining and wanting these nerfs.

Hell you can sit in cyrodil zone chat and see pvpers complaining about gearing and I've seen them saying how much better game was at launch and complaining on how much they changed it cause it's not so pvp focused and that they're doing things that the pvpers don't like. Or complaining new classes or gear from new expansions is "pay to win"

I agree with you there, telling PVPers they need to work as a mechanic all the time in order to maintain their business skills does not make sense. That's how we feel having to constantly farm gear via PVE all year round (Monster sets, mythic items, arena weapons, etc). Players shouldn't be forced into game modes they don't truly want to play in order to get the items they want. You are absolutely right about that!

I agree, and to be fair not every PVPer out there is toxic, but like everything it only takes a few. T-bagging and toxic whispers are still quite common in PVP. It gets vexing and just causes angry. I had someone tell me today (my own faction) that they T-bag and whisper insults to anger their opponents enough to come back so they can do it again and that is just not ok, nor is it good for the community. You killed them ok, move on. If you go into PVP as a PVE player expect to die, expect to lose.

In all honesty some people on the forums wonder why we haven't seen any new PVP content since IC and BGs? IMO its probably because of the few bad apples. Granted PVE players are not innocent here, there is toxicity on that side too, i just think that its more visible in the PVP world.
