pve players in pvp need to stop insulting pvp players.

[snip] but it doesn't really give you a right to start insulting us, and insisting we must have no life. just cos you came to pvp during mid year mayhem, and dont understand the way things are done in cyrodill, doesn't justify insulting us on the forums [snip]
I'm not being funny, but mid year mayhem seems to be the event drags a lot of toxic pve players in to pvp who then resort to insults and bullying just cos they don't like pvp.

Never saw a PvPer that ever considered a PvE [snip] as anything more than a nuisance.

Then you possibly could change thread name to PvE people that insult PvP players should not do so.

since mid year mayhem started up again, there's been more pve players on here and in game insulting you if you play pvp.

I have seen them and honestly laugh. Though I believe these days EVERYONE needs to thicken up their skin a bit. People these days equate words with real harm and that just is not so, especially the meaningless prattle that spouts from those with no power or authority over you.

To be fair, "sick in the head" has not been used to describe PvPer's, who are perfectly fine folks.
It was used to describe tea-baggers .. [snip]

Now, worry not, the overwhelming majority of PvE'rs have no beef against PvP'rs .. they just get a little salty to be killed while questing/talking to a NPC .. but they don't dislike you guys.

I do not. I often have discussions with PvP'rs, as I often craft for them. They're nice folks.

I died, and someone from my own alliance teabagged me rather than rezzing me. I think the idea of "toxic PvE players" may be just a tad overblown.

I definitely see why you made this thread, and I already spent too much time arguing on the other thread, but this one is probably going to get closed.

Just for context, the other thread was about t-bagging. Some people saying it's gross, very disrespectful, and that people doing it are kids, were not raised right, have no life, need to humiliate people to feel validated, or are disgusting.

While it is indeed a case of people not being used to a competitive environment and not having a thick enough skin, it was specifically about t-bagging and not pvp as a whole.

Honestly... Most new players in Cyrodiil seem to have fun. At least when I judge this by zone chat. There is a lot of people being eager to learn and get things done... So why is it so toxic on the forums?!

There is no us evil PvPers vs you good PvErs. We all bought the same game and we all play it the way we want to.

I had an incident during last year's Imperial City Event that still sticks with me. The IC event requires doing the daily quests in a PvPvE zone, and I'm not comfortable with the cheese method of standing on the Arena District and killing dremora from the spawn point. (Though if you hate PVP, go for it!) So early one morning, I went to the Nobles District and started laying ogrim traps.

I was on my PVE sprinter build. This lets me zip past mobs and outrun the Xivkyn and Atronachs that otherwise I'd have to stop and fight. Its great! Its also very, very squishy - like 16k health in medium armor. I am the definition of "fragile speedster."

So I'm on my last ogrim trap and heading to the far side of the district when I see two enemy players capturing the district flag. That's a pretty good sign that these are PVPers or at least experienced Tel Var farmers...and I decide "Maybe I can sprint past them to get to my trap spot."

    Haha, haha, I got deleted.

I rez up, drop down, and because the shortest way to my destination in a straight line, I make a beeline right in front of the flag again, which the two enemy players are turning.

    *Boom* dead again.

As I'm laying facedown on the district pavement, I realize that one of the players who killed me has a funny name - a punny play on Wardens. So I whisper them to compliment them on their name.

I was thanked for not being toxic about them killing me while I was questing. Profusely thanked. Like, we whispered each other for a couple minutes. While I was there for the event tickets, there were there for the double Tel Var. They weren't hunting questers, just two friends running around a PVPvE zone hoping to make some Tel Var and fighting players as they came across them. And yet many of the players they killed were salty and toxic about being killed.

I was taken aback. Here were two players PVPing exactly as intended, taking part in the event. No, more than that, here were two players PVPing in about the most noncontroversial way there is, and they were meeting enough players being toxic about dying while they quested that they thanked me for not being toxic.

    I don't get it.
Imperial City is a PvPvE zone.
I understand being annoyed when you die. I'm no saint. I get annoyed.
What I do not understand is being toxic to players who are playing as ZOS intends and allows after the fully intended and expected PVP happened in a PvPvE zone.

"I'm questing for my event tickets" is neither a safe conduct in PvPvE zones nor an excuse to be toxic when you die.

Toxicity exists across the board. There are quest NPC spawn campers who teabag the 15k HP person they just ganked and there are folks who go into PvP zones with 15k HP and don't use stealth and then rage when they get killed.

If you are in a PvP zone for any reason, you should consider using heavy impen, stealth, caution, etc. Even so, PvP happens. You are walking AP or Tel Var, and some people don't care about the thrill of a challenge, they just want points and loot. Expect to get killed. Try to avoid it, but expect it nonetheless.

Dying is annoying, losing your Tel Var is annoying, getting teabagged is annoying, but don't hate whisper the people who are PvPing in a PvP zone. They're either regular players who don't deserve it, or they're trolls and your reaction just feeds them. If they're actually griefing you, report them, and port somewhere else so you can get on with your day.

I usually see the opposite: pvpers grouping up and ganking unaware pvers who are just trying to turn in a quest and then tea-bagging and telling them they suck as if they just took down someone their own size in a 1v1.

I agree completely. Getting that right now in Imperial City. And when I mention it in Zone I'm getting told to be nice to pvpers. LIke seriouslly. I just want my tickets. I don't even have Tel Var from this guy's continuious stalking and ganking every single pver
he or she sees. I really wish when ZOS does this event they just make a separate PVE only server for Cyro and Imperial City

Remember, that PVE players are more sensitive than PVP players. After years of humiliation, where they are getting kicked out of groups for not beeing at certine CP and not hitting high enough DPS at target that don't hit back, they have practice hours and hours to be able to be part of PVE community. And after all these huge effort they come to our land and see sad truth, where low level players are not getting kicked out of group, but instead they kill u faster than any trial boss and if its not harsh enough, these low cp player come to you and knee on top of your body to show respect for a great fight. These kind of respect hurts them and they will never understand. How can you not be angry at PVP players?

I see pvpers getting vote kicked out of vet dungeons a lot when the tank notices someone 810cp spamming bombard or executioner on monsters over and over while not doing actual damage. I've seen a lot of decent sets/skills get nerfed over the years because a lot of people in Cyrodiil rage over getting killed by something they themselves don't use, and the upcoming nerfs to crit mark one of the rare instances of pve getting something nerfed instead of pvp begging and shouting for nerfs until zos does it. Remember when zos was gonna put a cast time on damage shields because of sensitive pvpers? I can see why they take out that anger by tea-bagging after zerging 1 or 2 people down with a group of 12+ people. I'm just glad some of them convert their ap into gold to put in pvers pockets by buying skin/personality runs from dungeons/trials once in a while. 11 trial runners splitting 3.5 million gold from a 5-star buying a vAS+2 run that takes us like 10 minutes feels good.

Some people seem to feel insulted all the time...

Just one general thing, as I don't think there's more to say: People have different opinions, different playstyles, and they like and dislike different things. If someone dislikes something, they have the right to address that. Get over it. People who don't share your views have a right to be here.

Oh, and if you want to discuss something, discuss it here instead of sending me an upset pm and ending the conversation immediately. Spewing out your opinion but hiding from a reaction makes you look silly.

I can asure u, almost non of nerfs have heppends becouse of of vet pvp players. I play pvp since betta and have been mostly part of big pvp guilds that consist mostly pure pvpers and majority of then 100% dont sit in forums and complain. We always just addapt to any OP nonsens that happens after every DLC. That's hownit is and it will never change. PVE comes first and pure pvp players know that. People who ask for nerfs here in forum are same PVE players that sit in cyrodill with their shields up, 40k health and proc sets. They wear redicilously boring meta sets and still complain that someone manage to kill them in their invincible build.
