'Slippery' CP skill - Thoughts?

I wanted to see if any others had tested this new CP 'skill' and what their thoughts were on it. My vantage point is from pvp.

This 'skill' gives you a free, instant, automatic break free every 18 secs.

On first day of pts, I slotted this and was messing around dueling magdk's. This 'skill' completely automated the break free from fossilize. It was Instant and fully automatic. When fossilized was cast on me, I only had to worry about dodge rolling, as the break free was instant. I couldnt be pinned down(I'm a stealth magblade)

It got me thinking about fear, and all other stuns. I dont think I would want people to insta break free from my fear, especially if I'm trying to land an already difficult to land assassins will/soul harvest. When I had it slotted, it truly felt like break free was on autopilot.

I'm curious to know what others think.

I like it for two reasons.

    1. It raises the skill floor and allows weaker players more of a fighting chance

    2. The skill ceiling remains mostly stable because good players will simply hold their burst for the second cc, purposely triggering the first cc to waste your slippery

So it’s kind of a win win for both casuals and pros. The only people who “lose” are players who want an easy time farming potato’s that can’t break free, and lazy players that don’t want to have to time their burst for the second cc after slippery has been used up.

    Does it grant cc immunity?

From a balance perspective, IMO this is totally stupid. Especially with all the extra damage mitigation while CC immune from CP and havy armor...

From a performance perspective, with how buggy break-free often is, it sounds great.

It's good for open world (fights with lag) and bad for duels.

Sounds like more nonsense where everyone gets a chance to be there own 1 v 1 with tank builds.

Yay more things that help zerglings kill solos and small groups while doing little to aid that small group.

    Wooo!!!

In cyrodill u will still need to break free manually as u usually get 3CC at the same time. Well with these will get only 2cc 😂

Well 21 seconds is still a very long time (The actual value on the PTS), and you can still get CC'd about 2 times during that cooldown that you manually have to break free from. This effect also does not stack with the Dauntless Combatant set which is effectively the same.

Basically it'll change nothing but make an already existing effect a little easier to obtain, but the real question is... is it better than other CP passives you can slot?

At worst, assuming you are being CC'd on cooldown so you have to break free twice for every auto break free, I would just view it as reducing the cost of break free by 1/3.

Its only once every 18 seconds. If anyone loses a pvp fight because of this they're not using enough CCs and are not using a flexible rotation. I support it being added. I know its going to *** off a lot of pvp'ers who rely too heavily on the same strategy and rotation all the time and that amuses me.

Wonder if this CP and with this set...
    https://eso-sets.com/set/dauntless-combatant

(5 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health, When you are affected by a disabling effect, you automatically Break Free for no cost. After using this effect, you become winded and cannot retrigger this effect for 21 seconds.

...One could be immune to CC with 100% uptime and 0 cost... :o

It will be interesting what wins: lag that basic perma CCs you or this proc set that automatically breaks free.

It's the ZOS version of the proverbial immovable object Vs. unstoppable force.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

Who cares? It’s a node with value. There’s nodes that are literally rendered useless that need to be addressed like Fleet Phantom. Is Slippery any different than using an Immovable potion to counter an opponent? That exists on live and people have learned to deal with it. Slippery has to be slotted as well.

Debuffs like Winded don't stack. Once that set or the CP perk are activated the Winded debuff is placed on your for 21 seconds and neither of them can proc.

21 seconds isn’t a long enough cooldown for this effect. It was fine on a 5 piece armor set because of the trade off but getting this effect through CP is too much. I’d like the cooldown to be ~ 40 seconds. Or more.

Plus major and minor regen buffs were just doubled like one or two updates ago from 10% and 20%, to 20% and 40%. Regening stam is easy which makes draining people’s resources in order to burst them in a stun is much harder. The slippery passive on top of this is too much.

Or they could just totally redesign the passive. I’m not a fan of it.
