bots suck, but did you really need to spam them with so many reports on the same bot?

Watching this, it just amazes me how much time is consumed trying to help them fix their own game. Completely sidetracked by the games faults, rather than enjoying the game's intricacies. If it has any.

That does not excuse, I played a lot of games and I have never seen such swarms of bots......

Are the "Game Makers" also have the profit in this ?...

Or port hacks, or speed hacks, or invis hacks...I'd be worried about how those hacks are getting through and into the game much more so than bots...and yeah bots are a major problem.

That speed hack at the :20 second mark was insane, and the hackers aren't even trying to hide it.

I have been playing MMORPGS for 15 years straight now, and I have never seen hackers get away with murder like they are in this game.

It's very sickening and not sure how this game will survive much longer when folks get fed up.

Where in the world are you all that are seeing all these bots? I have seen maybe 2-3 bots in total and only in the starting zone. I havent seen any since Davon's Watch

Consider yourself lucky. There are numerous post on this forum over the last 24 hours with videos of bots..Most are in public dungeons farming bosses, but since they are getting away with it there (and ZoS tried slowing them down with the boss drop timer) there are starting to run rampant in the actual world now.

One video example:



On AD side last night there was a train of about 10 bots doing the circle in the starting zone farming nodes and killing mobs. It's getting worse, not better.

It wasn't the same bot. Did you look at the names in the reports he was submitting? They are different.

It's getting worse. As of today, I've seen groups of bots outside of the public dungeons and in the open world. I even crossed paths with a group focused on a quest boss that spawned literally every 5 seconds and was dead in less than 1 second, and made completing my quest very hard.

Heads up ZOS: I love your game, but one thing that will make me cancel my sub faster than you can say "gold seller" is if you allow these cheaters and lowlifes to continue to exist.

Don't get me wrong, I know they exist, I'm not saying you guys are wrong, I'm just curious as to where people are running into them

You play on EU server? On NA server you can't go to a single dungeon through stormhaven or rivenspire that doesn't have at least 5 bots at the boss if not more. I running 4 characters up taking my time and out of those 4 all getting through all of stormhaven i had only seen one dungeon on only one of those 4 ever not have a bot at it and it was probly because it was a new instance with only me and another player in it that zoned at same time into it. Let lone all the ones pathing around high hostile mobs area's in rivenspire last 2 days, or like in the video above of 5 bots every 15 seconds going through those quest npc's for a easy teleport botted 280ish gold while wearing fresh character gear and names like haklfdha, alkrioew, jkljkliliij, adffdsaae, etc.

That's because they know Zenimax doesn't actually care enough to really solve the problem. As if adjusting or setting a timer for loot drops is going to change a botter's demeanor on the situation.

Why are there so many bots?
Because the game does not check coordinates and teleports at the server level. So third party apps can manipulate where the client is by changing the information sent to the server (dumbed down explanation)

There are so many bots because ZOS decided to not do server checks as that would slow down server response time if loads of people online. There is no way to fix that unless you implement a server check for the behavior of clients. Will ZOS implement one? We will see. in the meantime they could have GMs banning accounts manually by going into instances...why they are not doing that? It is either the lack of resources, the lack of planning for it or the usual "it takes times to ban accounts" because they want to trace where the gold goes.

Nobody cares where the gold goes. If there are 12 bots one shotting Boss X in instance Y you should ban the accounts on the spot. Bots I reported last week are still in the same instances. Not professional at all

And they are starting to roam outside dungeons. Soon they will be at every mini boss and who knows, maybe even questing.
