We all know it. It's the elephant in the room. If the CP changes make there way into PVP, there will be unkillable people running all over the place in CP PVP.

1) People are getting 8k+ HP regen no problem at all on PTS with CPs. Imagine 8k+ HP regen with heal bots and purge bots running around with you in PVP.

Endless stalemates.

Most people don't build to do damage in PVP, they build to not die and out tank everything. They would rather bring 30 friends to kill 1 person than actually get a 1v1 going.

Small scale PVP is going to be further out of reach and everyone is going to just tank everything.

2) Another thing to consider is that CP is a major barrier to entry for new players to PVP. Imagine starting with no CPs and having to grind for 6 months to get enough CP to have any semblence of competitiveness against average high number CP players.

3) Wild guess but the calculations associated with CPs contributes at least 10%+ to the lag.

Why don't you just play in the no-CP campaign? Let those who want to play with CP play with CP, absolutely no one is forcing you to be in the CP campaign.

I would prefer if they just divided pvp from pve all together so there could be actual combat balance in both. but if pvp just didnt have cp or everyone had max cp in pvp no matter their cp level that could help. still tho cp i would use in pve is not what i would use in pvp and costs too much/too complicated to just change it everytime i switch. i dont even have storage space for having pvp sets AND pve sets.

There are non cp campaign fot both cyro and ic, and bgs are no cp as well.
If you don't like cp pvp, then don't play cp pvp.
This is coming from someone who's been playing non cp forever.

True but NoCP always get forgotten when they have to balance stuff, right now NoCP is terrible to the point im playing in CP PvP and i always played NoCP but after elsweyr it just got worse and worse.

Tbh i was hoping that NoCP would be removed(beside for low level pvp)with the new CP system that was supposed to be horizontal progression which sadly is not.

No-Cp Cyrodiil is much more preferable IMO. I hate the troll tank endless fights in CP enabled Cyrodiil where people essentially can't die. It feels unrealistic. While there's some cheese troll tank builds in no-cp like the crimson/alessian werewolves, in general it's less effective.

Even in no-cp, the built in 15% mitigation and the extra resources sound like they may have quite an effect even in there....we'll have to see.

I believe a lot of problems would be solved as well by just removing CP from all PVP content. There would be far less variables for the developers to balance around.

We only have one campaign that anyone plays in on xbox EU, and it's cp.

Shame, as I'd much rather no cp.

The problem with BGs, is that proc sets are so strong without cp, but they're not great with cp, so proc sets will never be properly balanced.

Hopefully the changes with base health and resources being default next patch will help with that though.

I feel like this is the way ZOS is heading anyway with buffing base regen multipliers, base resources, base spell and weapon dmg, etc. CP works a lot better with PvE power creep anyway, and having CP only in PvE makes balancing on both sides significantly easier.

I say very much yes to this idea. With the proposed changes it seems the most annoying things with NO-CP are fixed, less resources, regen (last patch), some extra tankiness, light armor stamina sustain and movement.

All PVP NO-CP with proposed changes would stop for the large part the unkillable players, siege that does not hurt, CP gap between new and veterans and hopefully some better performance due to reduced calculations.

It's the best opportunity to balance PvE and PvP separately.

PvE via CPs and ground AoEs
PvP via Battle Spirit and single target dots/spammables.

The health recovery bonus needs reducing. I doubt anyone will dispute that. Other than that I felt cp PvP felt ok on the PTS. I was duelling people double my cp as I had to use a template.

I would recommend testing it before you write it off.

Besides most stats now occur before cp. So no cp is going to feel very different next patch.
