This is amazingly bad. I cannot fathom how the devs at ZeniMax can make people pissed so often. Everyone should not LOSE a single gained experience point. They did this with every patch which increased the total CP.

I’ll explain: if the curve changes, every CP becomes worth less xp. Which is fine for the CP you still need to obtain. But every single CP you gained will also be less. This means that people have LOST totale experience over the years, but that was fairly small. Now that the CP cap changes radically it’s a way bigger problem. They should keep the total experience gained on an account with CP characters, and just plug that number in the new CP curve and voila, there’s the new total xp. I have no experience of knowledge on the technical aspect, but to me it shouldn’t be too hard to do. Unless they actually don’t track the total experience, and just CP, in that case they should retroactively calculate the xp for every player once they login and convert. A bit harder but still shouldn’t be too hard.

This issue affects you more if you have more CP, i.e. are a more experienced player. I’m sure they don’t actually care about any player, but let’s see if they care to *** the veterans off the most.
