Anyone else with rogers have problems?

My internet us with rogers and I have there new dual band modem. 2.4 ghz and the 5.0 ghz. I'm in the basement so I don't use the 5 ghz due to poor signal. But on the 2.4 ghz i get frequent errors when playing that kick me out to login screen. Now when I bring my laptop to my buddys house who has bell no errors or disconnects at all. I'm just wondering if anyone else with rogers has this problem and knows of a fix?
